The Scene
The floor plan at Little's is basic but effective: one large open area on the right for women; another large open area on the left for men (with girls' and boys' shoes encompassed within, respectively). The shoe displays are equally utilitarian. The help is a curious dichotomy: on the men's side, you can expect to be offered full assistance early and often, while the women's side is more of a hands-on free-for-all, especially at clearance times.
The Skinny
Little's in Squirrel Hill has a nice variety of dress and casual shoes for men, women, and children--just don't expect a price break or a wide selection of athletic shoes. Also be sure to check out the women's accessories: they may well be cooler than any of the shoes.
For Men
For dress shoes, loafers, and other non-athletic fare, Little's offers a variety of quality brands, including Kenneth Cole, Rockport, Clarks of England, Ecco, Timberland, Birkenstock, and Doc Martens. But don't look for this variety in athletic shoes: the selection is small for both genders, consisting mostly of New Balance with a small sprinkling of Nike and Adidas.
For Women
The women's side has a nifty accessories section filled with unusual watches, jewelry, purses, wallets, and hats. Best of all are the handmade purses and handbags, all adorned with original decorations and artwork.

This is a great place to get dress shoes or something on the casual side. Service is excellent.
