Stay away!. This place is a joke! A very bad gimmick at best. Service was terrible. Rude is the best way to describe it. The seating area was dirty and most of the tables were broken. We ordered an italian hoagie and four slices of pizza. The hoagie arrived pretty quick but hardly had any meat on it and was soaked in grease. What meat it did have was cheap with no flavor. We then waited almost 20 minutes for our half cooked pizza to arrive. What we got was some cardboard, tomato sauce from a can, cheap toppings, and a pound of cold cheese. Worst pizza ever! You can find better in a high school cafeteria!
This pizza made me make poopies. I don't know if it was a combination of the sauce or the cold cheese but I had to make poo poo for half hour after eating it. The cheese really sits like a brick in your stomach. It's just too much. They also let blacks in there so be careful
Best pie in the Burgh. The pizza is unique and the best pizza I've ever had. My friends and I drive about 40 min (traffic issues) for this pizza. i've been eating here for at least 15 years and it is awesome.
God Pizza. I thought the pizza was very good. Shocked by the amount of cheese but I soon like the taste. I have tried a few pizza places in the Pittsburgh area and still looking for my favorite. If I was to pick now, I would take Sam's Pizza in Canonsburg
Great tasting pizza. This pizza in my opinion is the best pizza I have ever had. i have probably tried at least 100 different places, everyone in the pittsburgh area and Betos rocks. I could eat it everyday. I ate it for 26 days straight in 2009. Im addicted.
Try it with an open mind. I was really leery of cold cheese on hot pizza, but it was pretty good. The crust is the best thing about this pizza. It's really crispy. If it weren't, the cold cheese thing would not work at all. I thought the sauce was VERY good, mild, not too sweet, with chunks of tomatoes. I'm a big fan of pizza toppings, but this is not the place to get them, get plain cheese, you'll be glad you did. Not the best pizza in the world, but I'd definitely go back.
FYI Beto's just renovated! Try it out again!
more addictive than crack ,betos attack. dianes face as she orders 3 slices then 3 slices more !!! cheese heaven !!
BEST PIZZA IN PITTSBURGH. eating their pizza since opening have never found any pizza as good crispy crust tomatoes and lots of cheese no sickening sauce as other pizzas. should eat in to really enjoy when son comes in from maryland we must stop at beto's
A Slice of Heaven.
I have lived everywhere in the U.S. all my life. Both my parents were born and raised in Pittsburgh. At least 4 times a year, my family and I make the 8 hour drive...and Beto's is ALWAYS our first stop!! The cold cheese mixed with the warm thick crust causes this amazing and refreshing flavor to explode in your mouth. The sauce is thick and full of tomato chunks like real, homemade pizza sauce is meant to be. And at about $1.50 a slice, you never break your bank getting a good mouthfull taste of Pittsburgh.
The parking lot isn't ideal, but it never seems to stop me from enjoying myself while I'm there. I've been an avid Beto's lover for at least 10 years. And before I make that 8 hour drive back to TN, I always stop and buy Beto's, with the cheese on the side. It'll only last 2 days in my fridge at home, but it's a highlight to any trip up North.
