The Scene – There are three Pamela's, each with its own style and decor. All are simply decorated and very clean. Service is fast and friendly, and there's always a fresh pot of coffee circulating to warm up ever-present mugs on the tables. All three locations bustle at breakfast and lunch, and there is often a line. – – The Food – It's best known for breakfast, and the star attraction is the pancakes, which are extremely thin with crisp edges. The most popular pancake fillings are fresh strawberries, brown sugar and sour cream. There are also excellent egg dishes with…

Breakfast and Lunch

by yosipp at Citysearch

The place is really nice, the food is alright!. I have a friends that works there. I can tell you that the food is not more expensive than any other restaurant in the area, the sandwishes are great.. the only thing is make sure u always carry cash, because this people don't accept credit cards, though there is an ATM in the same block if u wanna ask the cashier to go out for money xDDD

AMAZING

Pamela's is AMAZING!!! I do not know what you are talking about when you say the food is bad... every-time I am in/near the strip while they are open I go there...If you don't believe me, Obama had them make his breakfast for his inaugural speech...(I had to use him in this to convince you even though he is a LLAMA with HUGE ears)

JUST TRY IT!!!

Side-note...I HATE sour cream, but in their crepes it is AMAZING

Always Makes Me Sick When I go, but not the worst

by victoriafrolics at Citysearch

Unfortunately, there's not that many options for the pancaking-loving populace of Pittsburgh (what with that IHOP that supposedly was coming in "Spring 2010" and is still. not. finished.) Pamela's breakfasts are salty, flavorless, and bland. But if you REALLY need breakfast and you lost an arm in some horrific manner and cannot make it yourself, there are worse places to go.

People always praise the "atmosphere" of Pamela's, although its food is lackluster. If atmosphere matters to you more than anything, visit Pamela's! Or launch a rocket into the stratosphere!

  • Pros: nice decorations, food is somewhat decent
  • Cons: salty, pancakes make me want to cry

Microwavable Bacon

by jennifer382 at Citysearch

My husband and I used to eat at Pamela's all the time, but stopped because the food has gone downhill. Two words ... Microwaved Bacon

  • Pros: Good Pancakes
  • Cons: Microwaved Bacon
