Not worth the hype. I do not get the hype. Ok food, but a terrible area. make sure you go during the day time if you are not from the area. I can not believe how bad the bathrooms are, and if the employees have to use the same restrooms, I believe there are health concerns. I can not believe how filthy the place is. What good is it to eat a restaurant if you can not keep your food down?

Great Unhealthy Foods at a shaky area. My first time at "O" I was behind a person that order a small order of fries.(I did not know it at the time) I said give me the large also. It was enough to feed an army. It is a unique setting in Pittsburgh. Located very close to Pitt and if you want to bring the family then be sure it is day light hours. It is The Dirty "O" and it is Original and Dirty to say the least. If you like Hot Dogs and hustle and bustle of city life then this is the place for you. Hot Dogs are the best and only Primanti Brothers is more Pittsburgh then The Dirty "O". You have to experience it for yourself!

disgusting food, disgusting place. this place is terrible. it's famous and beloved by some people for being so terrible, a place that works great when you're drunk and it's 1:00 in the morning since then you'll have no expectations.

simply put, the food is terrible. it's either greasy or flat out generic. the clientelle includes plenty of drunk people one of whom assailed us when we went there. horrible place, won't ever go there again.

It's AIGHT. They are famous for hotdogs but they are way overpriced. However the pizza and fries are cheap. Also the bathrooms are down in the scary basement which is wallpapered with GA NG tagging. Stay safe and peee out on the street.

Best Fries!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I went to college at Pitt in the 80's. We went to the "O" about every day (especially after going to CJ's or the Sanctuary). They had the best fries and subs around. When I visit the Burgh, I even take my family from North Carolina there. Visiting the "O" ,Primanti's, and Kennywood are the three things that the kids request during the vacation. I guess it is a tradition for those of us who went to Pitt and other surrounding schools. It is a unique place to try. Now don't expect a fancy restaurant--it is the Dirty O, but you will get the biggest order of fries you have ever seen. Have fun and enjoy the atmosphere and the experience!

BEST FRIES!!!!!!. Not sure why people rave about the hotdogs although I get that's the name... I've always gone for the fries...first of all they are huge!! Second they fry them twice! I prefer to alternate dipping between cheese and ketchup every other fry... yum! Also you go there for the atmosphere at 2 a.m. At least you do if you are a college student in Oakland or you've been drinking in the Strip (Pittsburgh). If you want a cheap (and I mean cheap in every sense of the word) pizza then go to the O too... $10 will get you enough food to feed a small army!

Just a common hot dog shop. I came here because my friend said it's good for hot dogs but i found nothing special about it. I ordered a super size hotdog with bacon, cheese, pickle, etc. and feel a little disappointed. it can't be compared to NY or Chicago hot dog.

GREAT FOOD............. FILTHY BATHROOMS. EVERYTHING ON THE "O" MENU IS JUST GREAT. GREAT FOOD AT GREAT PRICES. JUST MAKE SURE YOU USE A BATHROOM BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME, OR YOU JUST MAY LOSE YOUR APPETITE!!! THEY OF COURSE HAVE THE BEST FRIES EVER KNOWN TO MAN SERVED IN AMAZING PORTIONS BUT ALSO MAKE GRATE SUBS THEY ARE ALMOST AS BIG AS THEY FRY SERVINGS. UNLESS YOU ARE A SUMO WRESTLER DONT ORDER A WHOLE SUB, I THINK THEY ARE ABOUT 18 INCHES AND STUFFED FULL. THE STEAK IS JUST GREAT!!! BUT IF YOU ARE IN THE BURG MAKE SURE YOU GO TO THE DIRTY O!!!!!!!!!!
