The Skinny
The Science Center's ever-changing exhibits provide an educational wonderland for both young and old. Explore the World War II submarine U.S.S. Requin, try a platform simulator or solve crimes with a technically advanced Sherlock Holmes. Sit back and relax, and take in a science flick in the OMNIMAX, Pittsburgh's only four-story theater with stadium-style seating, or take a date for a romantic evening under the stars in the Center's observatory and planetarium.
Have the Fun
Take in a laser light show, or experience the gravity-defying rides of the Science Carnival. Believe it or not, the Center even has overnight weekend sleepover parties for the particularly intrepid science adventurers. When was the last time you had so much fun learning about the laws of nature and the world around you?

FAMILY FUN. THE CARNEGIE SCIENCE CENTER OFFERS ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS OF ALL AGES. THEIR NEWEST FEATURE IS THE UPMC SPORTSWORKS WHERE THEY HAVE VIRTUAL REALITY SPORTS THINGS FOR KIDS TO DO. IT IS INCLUDED WITH YOUR ADMISSION TO THE SCIENCE CENTER. IT OFFERS A WHOLE DAY FULL OF ACTIVITIES

Center Yourself on Carnegie Science. The Carnegie Science Center has everything from sports to aquatic animals. You can find just about anything there. One of the best features is the omnimax theater. It lets you see everything from a different view. It was a bit crowded and the lines for its few rides were a bit long, but most things aren't rides and therefore don't have lines. The food was tasty, but a bit expensive. The facilities are clean and there is so much to do that you won't have time to do it all.

simply: omnimax. The omnimax alone is worth the trip, then theres the massive aquarium on the third floor, planetarium and laser shows, a must see for museum enthusiasts or anyone wanting a good time in pittsburgh, be sure to tour the USS Requium, submarine docked on the north shore)

Lots of fun. Lots of fun for everyone. All sorts of neat things to play with and investigate- not just for kids. The weekend laserium shows are definitely worth checking out
