Funky faux-hunting lodge..
The Scene
The epitome of a neighborhood bar and restaurant, the Grant Bar has served Millvale since 1933 and is still owned by the Ruzomberka family. Service is friendly and the waitresses have worked here for decades. There's a lively bar with three large dining rooms behind it. The decor is unique, but no one seems to care; they are far too busy hunkering down on large servings of homemade food.
The Food
The biggest seller is the butterflied fried shrimp, which are large and lightly coated in batter. Another favorite is the marinated steak; soaked in a soy-based marinade for days, the flavor permeates the meat. The Grant is also one of the few places around where you can still get liver. Smothered in onions, it's a perfect wintertime antidote to the blues. Portions are large, and so are the drinks from the bar.
