The Food – The flaky, buttery croissants, both plain or filled with an assortment of fruits, nuts, or chocolate (try the almond). Then there are the tarts and cakes, available in entirety or by the slice. A wicked creme brulée, sold in a plastic cup, and even the carrot cake are both very good. Perhaps the best item, and biggest seller, are his Breton butter cakes. Squat and golden brown, they appear to be made of three ingredients: butter, sugar, and flour, in that order. Not only is it delicious plain, it is a fine ice cream delivery system. This is a bakery not to be missed.

Did not mean to leave a comment review and it is requiring that i type in here so i'm just filling it with words
- Pros: None that I will have the interest to discover
- Cons: Inflexibility on Weddings - so don't mention the word and maybe you'll have more luck.

This man is a master. I have tried everything in his shop and loved it all. His cakes are tremendous. Because he uses so much butter in the batter, we were able to freeze our son's birthday cake because Jean Marc closes in August for 3 weeks. The cakes are moist and delicious--the icing is a buttercream--sweet but not overwhelming. During the winter, try the chocolate truffles; they are to die for.
I've recently moved and still dream about the confections. My son, who has an extremely sophisticated palate, has made us promise to drive back and get his birthday cake for next year.
- Pros: Food, Value for quality
- Cons: parking
