hits the spot.... sometimes. a couple years ago, this was by, far, the best restaurant on the highland avenue corridor. with the opening of Mad Mex Shadyside, Abay, and BRGR, I find myself going to Buffalo Blues less and less. The atmosphere is OK, though it gets kind of rowdy at times. In comparison to these other restaurants, the fare just seems kind of ....boring.

Buffalo Blahs!!. My co-workers and I decided to go out for drinks after and long year at work. There must of been at least 10 to 11people in our party. We odered drinks and it would have been nice if they actually had the ingredients for the drinks we ordered but they were out of most key everything . . . . . .here is a tip, the wine and spirits shop is two blocks down the road . . . . .stock up!!! The waitress made special guest appreances to our table, but if you forgot to tell her quickly what you wanted, you were out of luck. After we spent and hour or so waiting, taliking, and eating, the waitress asked us if we were leaving soon. We were not quite sure what to say since we were all in our pens attire waiting for the game to start. The waitress came over again to see if we could possibly squeeze 8 to 10 people into a table that could barley hold 5 people, we denied that request. At this point the night manager came over to see if we were leaving soon because there were other fans (who wanted to do the exact same thing we were doing, getting ready for the game, socializing, drinking, and eating, basically spending money about $300.00 in their establishment) who needed our table.

After the fifth or sixth visit to our table, one of my friends decided to have some desert, however, since the waitress told her they had no menus available at this time, she would have to satisfy that craving elsewhere. The night manager came back again within a few minutes, so I fianlly asked was there a problem with us attempting to enjoy ourselves, he of course said no not really but needed the table for other people to enjoy themsevles. Never have I been so affended and insulted dining out. The discourteous manner to which we were treated made us all pick and leave . . . . . never ever to return. Buffalo Blues needs to stop worrying about packing people into their establishment, but treat the people already in there with a little more respect and consideration.

In these days with the economy so bad, money and business is precious. As we sat there, many people said this is not the first time this has happened to them at this place. I'm not sure why they go back, but I am hoping writing this will discourge people from spending money there or ever returning to a place like this again, I know I will never ever go there again!!

Great BBQ and good beer selection. Buffalo Blues has a pretty good selection of BBQ and cheap eats coupled with an extensive beer list. I mostly eat in the back rather than the bar since its a nicer environment and away from the TVs.

Service has been haphazard in the past however I've noticed a definite improvement in the last few months.

The bar area is not very inviting, IMHO, and could benefit from some more renovation.

I got the Buffalo Blues Blues..... I used to eat at buffalo blues several times a week. However, they were recently closed for a month of remodeling. I was soooo excited to see that they had reopened and I was anxious to check out the new renovations. The renovations were ok? Not sure I would have made the same changes- but that is up to the owner. New placement of the TV's was good. The food was good as usual. But my problem with the restaurant was that the renovations were not yet finished. So while I was eating my meal, I had to hear the sound of saws and drills in the background and the smell of new paint lingered all throughout the restaurant. My date ready to pass out from the paint fumes. Also the light leading to the bathroom was not installed yet and the hallway was pitch black. Super HOT- No AC. Not really sure this would have been permitted by city health inspectors??? The service was also bad. It appears as if they left a majority of their good staff go or they left as a result of the renovations being done??? Probably being a little picky, but just not a pleasant dining experience and I probably wont be returning.

Best wing and hang out. I love their spicy garlic wings and import beers they have on tap. The bartenders their are friendly and entertaining. It's my favorite place to go after work to unwind.
