If You Like Old No Frills Italian.... Having traveled to many good Northeast Italian restaurants and visiting Pitt to see family, I was pleasantly surprised with Minutello's. It is a no frills old Pittsburgh Italian restaurant that is somewhat dated like so many great Northeast Italian restaurants but has great food rivaling the best you'll get in my hometown Boston . Recommend ask for Phyilis to wait your table. If you have a choice sit in the lounge. Good place with nice people and good food.

Really, don't bother. We thought this little corner Italian place would have some charm and probably great food. No charm, unremarkable food. We were 5 minutes from leaving when a waitress decided to come over to our table, after being seated for over 15 minutes. The restaurant was NOT busy. Never again.

Go back to the good times. I used to go to this place all the time a few years back but the quality has gone down the drain the pasta tastes like it was reboiled over again the food was okay but could have been a bit better the only thing I would stick with is the white pizza

Tasteless and greasy. The smell of smoke immediately hits you when you walk down the stairs. The hostess who "greeted" us acted like she didn't want us there. We ordered a large pizza to go with onions on half and extra sauce. We got onions on ALL and very little sauce. It was basically cheese and crust. The pizza was bland and greasy and, at $17, very overpriced. If you want good pizza or to dine in a place that doesn't smell like an ashtray, avoid this place.

Does not honor coupons for valued customers. I received a free dessert coupon through the valued customer program from Minutello's Restaurant. The coupon was clearly marked invite your friends. So I forwarded this coupon to my friends. When we went to dinner and tried to redeem the coupon for a free dessert during the month of February, we were told by the manager that the invite your friends was not supposed to mean for dessert and we were told the restaurant would lose too much profit if they gave us the free dessert at the coupon had indicated.

The Super Special Awaits. I really enjoy the entire Minutello's experience. I enjoy the fries with gravy but best of all I like the 6-packs to go and the super special which is a pizza with about 6 types of meat.
