Editorial Review for Fat Head's South Side Saloon – by Moe Stevens
The Scene
Fat Head's is not serious like a heart attack; but serious like your neighbor who cuts his lawn at precisely a 27-degree angle from the street. The single-malt Scotch and beer list features a great selection of the best that American micros and European masters have to offer, and the brews from Belgium make for a nearly unforgettable piece de resistance. All of it is needed to wash down some of the best and hottest of the 'Burgh's wings and improbably large sandwiches.
The Food
On the menu, somewhere between the 13 kinds of wings and 35 different sandwiches lies the Headwich. Possibly more infamous than famous, the sandwich that is literally the size of your head is considered a rite of passage by many locals.

Insider Tips
Know Before You GoThere's no shame in not finishing your sandwich--many a patron has been forced to take half of theirs home.
Save MoneyBudget-minded, and some would say sensible, patrons should consider splitting one of the gargantuan sandwiches.

The "Headwiches" are ridonkulous. I had "The Bender": keilbasa, fried egg, provalone, crumbled hot sausage, fried onionstrings, roasted red peppers, wing sauce, and pepper mayo .. ARE YOU KIDDING!! This sandwich changed my life and ruined all other future sandwiches for me ... My eyes rolled in the back of my head, the great potato strings/fries wre a superb compliment, and there are about a billion great ales and brews to choose from. In a town with some great sandwich joints, this is by far the best! Also, go on Wing Night (Mondays) for 25-cent wings ... they have over a dozen sauces, but the Original and the Carribean Killer are the best. Fatheads, you are my new religion!!
Pros: giant, creative, delicious sandwiches; Monday Wing Night
Cons: bad for dieters and people who like to eat neatly
