not impressed.. pasta primavara = spinach pasta with grilled veggies. the "veggies" consisted of sauteed zucchini (which is a gourd) and sun dried tomatoes (which is a fruit). the cream sauce was incredibly to sweet to overcompensate the bland pasta.

kobe burger = unflavored meat pattie on a bun with one tiny bit of lettuce on top.

service = we were the ONLY people in there and our waitress came over about 3 times. once for our drinks, then our order, then our check.

we will not be back.

Ah the taste of meat cooked over a hot wood fire.. The Scene
Located on the trendy South Side, the restaurant features extensive exposed brickwork and photographs of local scenes and people. There's a service bar, but no stools: City Grill is more for eating than drinking.

The Burger
The grilled burger is a thick half-pounder, done over a hardwood grill. With a thin, crisp char on the outside, the inside is cooked to various degrees of doneness. You ask for pink rare, you get pink rare.

Also Worth Trying
The grilled chicken is another tasty choice, the skin is crisped and served with a piquant vinegar-based sauce.

veggie new years eve. my friends and i recently enjoyed city grill on new years eve....it wasn't our first choice, i admit, but we were out for something different. we got exactly what we were looking for. i would definitely recommend the grilled vegetables (as good as my own and its not even summer!) and the potatoes that my friends got...were some sort of home fry, i think...they were incredible. but those veggies...man...delicious. (and i dug the candles and atomosphere, too!)
