The Scene
The five pool tables, three jukeboxes and regulation Ping-Pong table are only upstaged by the cheeseburger. The upstairs, perhaps the largest above-ground game-rumpus room in existence, is usually open Thursday through Sunday and mixes stiff little drinks to the swinging tunes of a rockabilly jukebox.
The Draw
It has the neighborhood's biggest booth and the longest bar, a mural depicting 85 of its best customers and towering 23-ounce glasses of beer for just $1.50. And that's just on the first floor. Dee's rode the wave that swept away the South Side's blue-collar reputation and replaced it with a tie-dyed and flannel one--it's a child of both ages. The first floor is a mix of art-deco chic and Arby's sensibilities, and is frequented by neighborhood hepcats and outside interloping wanna-bes.

Great cheap dive bar. BAD service. It's too crowded and the only 2 bartenders ignore whomever they don't like. Cheapest place in the South Side. Great atmosphere. Dark. Dingy. And fun crowd. Great jukebox
