I am a reporter and was covering G-20 meeting during September 24-25, 2009. It was hard to get a room at a reasonable price. Avalon Motel was my savoir. Its daily rates were under $45.00 including taxes, while Hilton Pittsburgh wanted $287.00 plus taxes. Avalon Motel rooms were clean and staff very helpful. The Bus 16A was right in front of the Motel to take me to downtown Pittsburgh. I have travelled for G-20 meeting coverage to about 9 countries, I found this Motel extremely reasonable, comfortable and Economical. McDonald and Wendy's resturants were next door. I recommend this Motel and whenever I am in USA and visiting Pittsburgh, my home will be this Motel
