Bellevue >Lincoln Bakery
I love this place, they have great customer service, busy yet casual environment and man that cake is good... Thank you Lincoln Bakery!!! I will be back very soon!!
poor customer service. i usually could care less about customer service but these people were HILARIOUSLY rude. my dad & i walked in to get something small because we had heard this bakery was good. in the middle of my dad talking to the woman about what she recommended, she walked away. a very young girl (no older than 16) worked the register & was acting as though we were such an imposition on her life. the pastries we got were okay but definitely not the most delicious. my dad & i still joke to this day about the rudeness of these people.
Worst customer service EVER. I have lived in the Bellevue area for years and it is so sad to see such a great bakery go under like this. Ordering a cake is literally like pulling teeth. The counter workers are so rude, they act as though you are such an imposition. I recently attempted to order my grandfather a birthday cake and couldn't get mixed batter, couldn't get the picture I wanted on the cake, couldn't talk to the decorator about ideas, I guess I should've just let them do what they wanted because that's what I ended up with anyways. I called to increase my order and was told that I couldn't get the icing I had chosen either. But they never called to tell me this, I was informed when I had contacted them. So had I not called, I would've been stuck with a cake I didn't want. When I asked why I couldn't get the icing I had already ordered, the salesgirl said "because we don't do it". Ummmm, ok.... I cancelled my order and waws promptly hung up on. Over it, over their bakery and ignorant staff. Their cakes are good but not good enough to put up with their attitudes. So very disappointing. I have read so many reviews about Lincoln's poor customer service, you would think management would have made some changes, but I guess not. There are a lot of great bakeries in PIttsburgh, I would rather take my business somewhere it is appreciated.
I have lived in Pittsburgh area my whole life. I have tried many different bakeries but have never found one quite like Lincoln. Their cakes are the most delicious cakes I have ever had. Not only is the taste just out of this world, the cakes are so beautifully decorated. I called to order a birthday cake for my daughter's 16th birthday, and it was to have a Scooby Doo theme on it. The decorator drew Scooby Doo on it. It was so amazing and my daughter couldnt stop talking about it, thats how much she liked it. Everyone at the party just raved about the taste and how it was decorated. Anytime I need a cake for a birthday, party or just to have a cake, I always go to Lincoln. You will not be disappointed with their cakes or any of their product.
I have read some of the other reviews of people and their experience with Lincoln and I do not agree with the ones who talk down on the customer service. Working with the public is a very hard thing to do. I know because I am a waitress. The "public" are the ones who are rude and think they are better then the ones who are waiting on them. I have been in Lincoln and have seen those girls get misstreated for no reason. So I can understand why sometimes they may not have a smile on their face. But as for me I have never had a problem with the customer service there. In fact I have never had a problem with anything there. So I highly recomend going to Lincoln Bakery. Like most people said, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!
BEST BAKERY EVER!!!!. The Lincoln bakery is the best!! About customer service, the girls out front waiting on folks have always been very nice and helpful. The woman that takes the wedding cake orders is a little quiet and I admit we went and had an appointment and she wouldn't come out (said she was too busy) and luckily it all worked out fine for the wedding....but she can act however she wants because she has the BEST cake in the world with the world's best icing...so it's like put up with her and she wasn't rude in anyway or anything like that, and have the best cake or go somewhere else and get that "fake" cake/icing. I could live there....everything is so good! Go Lincoln, wish you were closer!
Cupcakes. Their cupcakes are really dry, but other than that, their other items are good.
Best Bakery in Pittsburgh...NOT OAKMONT!.
I have been eating at Lincoln Bakery since I was a toddler. I have recently tried Oakmont Bakery and Paddy-Cake and both do not measure up to Lincoln.
My favorite part of Lincoln is their icing. It isn't chalky or artificial tasting like Oakmont's but it's light, airy, and smooth.
Their cookies are one of my favorites. Moist and very chewy.
Nearly everything on their menu is good!
Everyone praises Oakmont Bakery but Lincoln deserves the top honors.
Give it a try! You won't be disappointed!
the WORST customer service!. I've had their cake before and frankly was not that impressed, but we're shopping for a wedding cake and thought we'd check out their samples, prices, options, etc. Called to make an appt and was told just to stop in - no appointment needed. So we stopped in - and were immediately told that they couldn't help us w/o an appointment , and they did not care that i had called to try to make an appt and was told it was not necessary. they had a cancellation and told us they could see us in half an hour. so we waited, and when it was finally our turn, 40 mins later, we sat at the table to meet w/someone (the table was filthy btw - covered w/ icing and crumbs) but the woman came out and before even saying hello she groaned "well, if you had called to make an appointment....." and blamed us for their lack of preparedness - no apology, nothing like "sorry you were given inaccurate info - let's see what we can do" it was APPALLING! i have never been treated so rudely - this is the absolute worst customer service i have ever experienced! and their cakes are NOT good enough to warrant such an apathetic attitude towards their customers. I would highly recommend potomac (they were unbelievably friendly) or kribels, or ANY OTHER BAKERY over this overrated, awful place.
No filling wedding cake. Purchased a wedding cake for May 31, 2008. Specified did not like icing so purchased the fresh strawberry filling. NOT WORTH IT. I had maybe two slices of strawberries on a layer & the rest icing. Very disappointed. Not what we expected at all. But we are getting a whopping $45.00 back, which they said was what we paid for the filling for 225 people. Even though to us it was not what we had ordered & there is no second chance to make it right.
