The Scene – There is little decoration, and the "open kitchen" concept has been in practice here for years. In fact, you pass the prep area on your way to the dining room. The chef is busily moving around, making the calzones the place is known for. – – The Food – There are two calzones of great merit: the spinach and the roasted red pepper. Each has the vegetables, and then you build on that with cheese, mushrooms, sausage, etc. Be sure to try the pastas (various sizes), as well as the manicotti and ravioli, all homemade. – – If You Order…

Editor's Tips

Chow Down:
The place isn't much to look at, but the view on the plates makes it an eyeful for good Italian food.
Hint:
The salads are nothing special, mostly iceberg lettuce.

Love the Pasta

by Indiana at Citysearch

I've been eating wonderful homemade Pasta for 20 years at Angie's! The price is right! Servings are larger than most restuarants. Many times we have a 'doggie bag' with us when we go out the door. It holds enough for another meal we can eat at home. Homemade raviolis to die for. What is unique about this restuarant is the fact you can watch the food being prepared. You are never rushed to leave, you can enjoy your dinner in a peaceful and friendly atmosphere.

  • Pros: Best homemade Pasta
  • Cons: Non

Best in Wilmerding.

by cookiesrgood at Citysearch

When I arrived To get a pick up order Some Man Yelled at me (From Some poor Bakery) I was Going in For 3 minutes, But he wouldn't allow me to Park there So I had to move. Besides that I loved It I've Been Going there For 17 years with Family And It Is The Best restuarant In Wilmerding. My Neice Heidi Loved it as well. And The Calazones Have Got To Be The best Italian Food I have had For a long Time. ^-^

  • Pros: The Calazones

Awful cook, Awful owners!!!! DON'T GO THERE

by pittgump at Citysearch

These people are complete idiots. They CANNOT cook! once I ordered a shrimp pizza to go and they didn't put any cheese on it, NONE. It was shrimp on bread. They still served it to me and I didn't realize until I was home over 20 minutes away. Their cook is always outside smoking and looking very dirty. Also, heard they cause ALOT of problems for people in their neighborhood. Don't go there food is awful!!

  • Pros: NONE
  • Cons: FOOD STINKS!!
