Would have to try again, but not in any hurry to do so.
Had reservations at 8:15, got seated at 9:10. Automosphere was loud and smokey in the bar area which I guess you ask for by requesting a smoking table but if anybody in your party is a non-smoker, I wouldn't suggest taking them here.
For the wait, we did receive a free ap but the plate/fork I received to eat it with was dirty and needed to be returned. I'm not a picky person when it comes to things like that but after an hour wait, come on. Next, I didn't receive my salad and although they offered to bring it out after I brought it to their attention, at this point I was ready to move on and just wish I had gone to Buca di Beppo like I had planned.
The dinner was pretty good (Chicken Parm) but nothing to write home to mom about. I guess this place is perfect for take-out --- just make sure they give you everything that your ordered.

A classy joint that likes to live large..
The Scene
Housed in Oakmont's most impressive building, the bar and restaurant split the massive space evenly. The liquid side of the business has one of the largest, most striking bars in Pittsburgh, thanks to its use of wood and ceramic tile. While many of those drinking are well heeled, an equal number are decidedly less so. Although it's perfectly acceptable to order a draft of Yuengling or bottle of Iron City, you'd be missing out if you didn't call out for a classic cocktail.
The Food
By separating the large area into several rooms, you are cloaked by a feeling of intimacy. While all of entrees are good, the filet, seafood, and pasta ones are especially so. Although most find little room for the array of incredible desserts and pies, the complimentary fried almond cookies are a must.
