Interestingly enough, this dojang has stayed one of Liberty Boro's best kept secrets for a very long time. But the world around us is becoming wise to this gem. Not only does DMA have a dojang in Liberty Boro, but not too long ago, DMA opened another dojang in Pleasant Hills. This wonderful school is growing. And not only are they growing, but they are growing in an image that is respectable and quite frankly, hard to find in this day and age. They are not a blackbelt factory. They do not promote you, simply because you show up. You earn your promotions, making them mean something to you, and your fellow students. If you are interested in studying martial arts with a serious yet pleasurable expectation, you will receive both. Mr. Czerniak's bio is correct. He will make you strive to what you truely can be, and he will not allow you to let personal fears or inhibitions stop you from becoming what you want. He will push you to become confident, more fit, and most of all, happy with your newly found discipline. He will coach you, guide you, and allow you to find yourself in a sport that is very rewarding and fulfilling. The instructors at this school are not stingy with their knowledge. It is quite obvious that they love what they are doing. Never will you ever get the feeling that you are a burden, or a bother when asking a question. You will never be humiliated. As much focus is emphasized on the development of your character, as there is on physique and form. Personal fitness does not matter so long as you have the desire and motivation to improve. After all, Taekwondo is not all about kicking. You might fall down, you might get little bumps and bruises, but that is to be expected. It's fun to talk about those little bumps and bruises and how they occurred. But they all heal, and you become better and stronger. The small dojang size allows for more manageable classroom sizes, aimed at quality instruction. My first review!

My 6 year old son and 9 year old daughter signed up for Mr. Czerniak's Summer Karate Program nearly a year ago. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences for me as a mother but more importantly for my children. They both love to go to class and have learned so much in one year's time. While learning the art of Tae Kwon Do they are also learning the importance of discipline and respect. The greatest transformation that I have seen in my children is their confidence. They are learning to be confindent and their self esteem grows with every belt they earn. My 6 year old son was diagnosed with PDD/NOS (mild Autism) when he was 3. When he started the program I wasn't sure if it would be his "thing". Today I am absolutely amazed at his progress. Both my son and daughter have received medals at tounaments and are now yellow belts. The skills that Mr. Czerniak has instilled in my children will last them a lifetime. I am so thankful to have my children a part of this extraordinary program.
Pros: 2 easy to find locations, friendly atmosphere
