Forget The Waterfront. I have seen Dukes Upper Deck atleast 1,000,000 times while driving through Homestead on my way to the waterfront. I recieved a text from a friend, inviting my fiance and myself to lunch at Duke's. It is a beautiful bar and grill/resturaunt. The food was unreal. I am a pain the butt when it comes to eating anything anywhere. My fiance and our friend are very aware of this. When we started with the fried mushrooms it was a perfect start to a more than perfect lunch. Blast furnace burger for me..awesome.. baked potatoe soup also..awesome!!! Cowwr club for my fiance... She said it was awesome. Our friend's cajun chicken salad was awesome also. I know it is hard to believe that everything was awesome...but it was... You have to give it a try... you will love it.. Christine was out waitress and she was awesome as well.. The greatest all around dinning experience I have ever had. Thank you Dukes... I will be back real soon. You guys have done a real justice to one of the most historical places in our region.

great atmosphere, inexpensive meals. Duke's is classic neighborhood Pittsburgh Tavern. Great place to watch sporting event. Good food with large portions. Friendly place & kids love it as well.

Great Sports bar - great food. Dukes offers a unique menu with food indicative of the Mon Valley it resides in. I've never had a bad meal at Dukes and I've been going there for years (and years) and I've never had bad service there either. It's a great Sports Bar with plenty of TVs and viewing (and both seats at the bar and pub tables and booths - so plenty of seating) OR there are tables in the back on the second level if you'd like to get away from the noice of those watching the game and dine with your family.

Best Neighborhood Sports Bar. This is a great sports bar/restaurant. Friendly, place in a great location just over the Homestead Bridge on 8th Avenue across from the Walgreens (formerly Chiodos Tavern). Bartenders and waitresses are friendly and quick. Food is always great. The back dining area is fine for families but the front is definitely for the Pittsburgh sports fan. 10 tv's, well situated around the bar. Great juke box which they actually shut off during Steeler games and other major sporting events. Highly recommend the wings (try the mild& wild) and the steak salad. Baked potato soup is great as is the French onion. Don't miss the duchess fries (sweet potato) and if you have a big group you must order the calzone. Large will feed about 5 people. Forget the Waterfront. Just stop in to Dukes - spend a little and enjoy a lot.

Definitive Sporst Tavern. Dukes is a place you can enjoy a great steak or salad, the best wings in Pittsburgh, solid beer selection on tap at very fair prices, desserts that have the key elements of chocolate and chocolate.

AND - See every Pittsburgh sporting event on a wide screen high definition TV or on one of the 10 or so other tv screens around the place. You can bring the kids and sit in the rear dining area. They'll love it. Ambiance is great, Duke himself is likely to make an appearance on any given night.
