Ridiculous fees.
I agree with the previous poster. They charge $85 just to show up - even if just a few miles away. Then they order parts and want to charge yet ANOTHER $85 to come back and put the part in.
They cite gas and wear and tear on their vehicle and the person's time as reasons for this fee. Last time I checked it didn't cost $85 in gas to go 3-4 miles and what are they paying the repairman per hour to equal $85 in fees? You might want to consider this before buying from Hall's Pools.
Any savings having a gas fireplace insert is gone with repair fees like this that make one wonder what's the point of having it.…
Bad Buisnessman. I will never do business with them again. I purchased an electric insert fireplace from them in 2008. I also used their recommended carpenter to custom make me an entertainment center that cost over one thousand dollars, not including the cost of the fireplace. I have used the fireplace MAYBE 10 times and now it no longer works. I went to the store on 11/2/2010 to discuss the situation and I was told that it would be 85.00 dollars to drive one mile to my home to look at it, not repair it. I was then told it would be 50.00 right off the top to bring it to the store, not including the cost of repair. I will not do business with a local company that does stand behind their product. I don't mind paying for the parts, but to flat out charge me for bringing it in without even looking at it is absolutely unacceptable. I believe in doing business with local vendors, and in this case, I will take my buisness elsewhere. Beware of what you purchase here and be sure that if you do, you get everything in writing. I for one will not be returning to their store ever again.…
