Beautiful flowers - always a good price. I always use Barton's Flowers. I am yet to be disappointed-the arrangements are perfect. I am usually surprised at the affordability. They have always been there in a pinch, and can usually accommodate any request I have. I would definitely recommend them.

Don't use as a wedding florist!. I chose Barton's as my florist for my wedding in 2006. I called them months before my wedding date and we discussed what I needed for the wedding. Of the flowers that I was certain that I needed, Mr. Barton made an estimate of about $860. We also discussed other possible needs, (centerpieces, flowers for the head table, flowers for my cake) that I was not sure that I needed at the time. Fast forward to the week of the wedding, we get a message on the answering machine that the flowers are done and the total is $1600!!! I almost had a heart attack, I had enough going on as it was, being only a few days until my wedding. I went and talked to Mr. Barton, and he explained that since he had not heard from me, he assumed that I needed most of the other things that we had talked about (ie, things that I wasn't sure about) He blamed it on me for not communicating to him that I didn't want these extras, and told me he couldn't change the price, because he already had ordered the flowers and they were there. As you can imagine, I was livid, and ended up arguing with him up to the day before my wedding. He agreed to take a few things off of the bill, but it wasn't really helping the total. I asked him for a itemized bill and when he produced it ( I think he made it up to get to the total he wanted ) it was ridiculous, for example $125 for flowers for my cake. ( I didn't have a ton of flowers on the cake) When questioned, he said to many of the overblown prices, its because this flower was out of season. Keep in mind, I never insisted on certain flowers that were "out of season" because most of this stuff I didn't even request.

I know it has been a lot of time since my wedding, and I should probably let it go, but, I still get angry when I look at my wedding photos and see the enormous head table arrangement blocking our faces in several photos. Yes, the one I didn't order. Just really want to warn others too. This was the biggest, and only major hassle of my entire wedding, and I don't want others to make the same mistake.
