A demanding course for the average golfer..
The Scene
Packed away behind Joe Namath's hometown, Fox Run features a mix of the flat and hilly, and
wide open and closely guarded. Several lakes come into play on both nines, and a moderately high rough makes staying in the fairway a prudent play. It's little wonder that the course is the home of the Beaver County Amateur Championship.
Signature Hole
The par-3 ninth plays from an elevated tee, but a huge lake in front of the green makes judging your shot difficult, as does the slope back towards the water. The large putting surface allows room for error, but you don't want to be above the hole here.
Green Space
The par-5 18th plays even longer due to the extreme uphill slope. Getting to the small green in two shots is next to impossible for John Q. Golfer.</P>
