Great pizza, but even better hoagies!
by gostillerz
A slice of cheese pizza is only $0.75. If you want a topping...say sausage, be prepared to dish out another quarter. But with that measly 25 cents, you'll get around a quarter to a half inch worth of spiced piggy.
The hoagies are nearly perfect. First of all, they use Breadworks delivered daily (I drive past there every morning). The steak and cheese is just that...steak and cheese..and onions. You actually taste meat! For the Italian, the first thing they ask is "hot or cold". I don't know why all other pizza/hoagie joints ask that. My favorite part is that you can't get a half, only the full footlong, AND, they don't cut it in half either. You want a sammich, you get a sammich, and you eat the whole damn thing!!!
There's a reason they've been in business for so long. It's just that good....
D&G - No Other Need Apply

I gradutated BFHS in '72 and enjoyed D&G all through high school. In all that time D&G pizza has remained absolutely the very best pizza I have known in all my moves around the country. Extremely generous toppings, distinctive sauce and crust that has a thin hard outer shell with a soft inside. But just as much fun as eating this distinctive hometown delicacy is the fun in waiting for it in the "no frills" pizza shop. The interior of the building is suspended in time: same linoleum floor, same delectable smells, same TV playing on top of the "pop" cooler, same well worn front counter. One of my great joys in returning to Western PA is now having access to this place whenever the urge for pizza hits!
THE VERY BEST

I am originally from Beaver Falls Pa. I moved away in 1977. When ever I come back home, I always stop at D&G Pizza. I now live in Maryland, but have travel to several states and no-one comes close to D&G Pizza. It was the best and still remains the very best. I never leave Beaver Falls without a visit to D&G Pizza.
