Tips for Pizza House

They're standards have declined over the past decade. They use to be really good, but its not as good as they use to be. The pizzas seem to be thrown together now, without much care. I only rarely go here for my pizza in a pinch, and to be honest its only on days when Frank's pizza is closed.

Good Pizza. We have good pizza's in this town if we can only get a good tax collector now, this town would be moving in the right direction. Joann Crano Dunn is never there and even when she should be there a sign is in the window saying she will be right back. Then when your paying the tax she want to impress you with the town gossip. I'm sure I'm subjected to the gossip as soon as I walk out the door. Lets vote her out this time, we need a tax collector like the Dunns (at erie insurance) that did know how to run that business.

Police Station Pizza is HORRIBLE.... Completely disgusting!! It reminds me of school cafeteria pizza. It tastes like soggy bread topped with ketchup-y sauce and fake cheese. There's always a line, it's pointless to call ahead, and it's kind of dirty. Like another reviewer wrote, the workers don't wash their hands; they just heap on any extra ingredients you want without cooking them on. Horrible. It definently doesn't taste like real pizza, let alone Italian cuisine.

Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Located in Beaver County, pizza by the slice is served at the take out restaurant that offers fast service.

Best Sicilian around. This pizza is so good... you can get it made at the shop, or for a different taste, take unbaked home and make it yourself. It only takes about ten minutes cooking time. The sauce is so good, it tastes fresh. The cheese is awesome. I don't know where they get it from, but it is so tasty... If you get it made already, they can throw extra cheese on top, and if you get some unbaked to take home you should order an extra bag of cheese cause it's worth it just to snack on while the pizza is cooking.

3 year search ended. Being from Chicago, my wife and I are very picky about our pies (pizza). After 3 years of below average pizza from national chains and mom & pop shops, we found a truely fantastic pizza. To top things off it is very affordable. Standing room only on Friday and Saturday nights, quite often people waiting outside. All of our family and friends that visit are taken up to "Police Station Pizza" not only for the great 'za but to experience the ordering process. The 'za is delicious hot, cold, day old, even two days old. The crust is light and crunchy, but not hard to chew. Sauce has a great balance of spice and sweet. Toppings galore and look out if you like extra cheese.......no skimping here! Well worth the trip if ever in town.

Best Sicilian square pie!. having grown up in northeast philly and now living in the burgh for 10 + years, i know the difference between what is good pizza and what is junk, and i can honestly tell you that this place serves some of the best sicilian squares i have ever had anywhere! The staff is awesome, there could be as many as 30 people waiting for their pizza on a busy night and yet they manage to get every order exactly right. Pizza House aka "Police Station Pizza" is the real deal for great sicilian, accept no substitutes!

Simply awesome!. Simply awesome!

Tried at the suggested of a colleague. If you haven't been already what are you waiting for! You won't regret it. The place is take out or delivery but there is a great park a block down the street with picnic tables.

Best Pizza You'll Ever eat. I was born and raised in Ambridge. Back in the early 1960's I lived on Franks Pizza. Still love it. One day, I went to what was then called 13th street pizza and bought a couple slices with mushrooms. It's the only pizza you can put in the frig and when you microwave it the next day, it still has the crunch. The only pizza I ever had that would beat the pants of both Franks and Pizza House, came from a little place on 19th and Duss Ave called Cerones. I'd pay $50 a slice just to get a piece of that original pizza today, although mine is extrememly close. It used to smell like 10 year old gym socks that someone left in a locker. But, one bite, just one little bite, and you were in heaven for the day.

accident. having found this place by mistake 8 years ago, i go back all the time. one of a kind place and the best pizza this side of the mississippi. i have taken many people there and all have said they would go back. just a short drive out the red belt ( i live in west deer) 40 minutes. the crust is light and crunchy, best when out of thier oven, one square dosn't weight you down and the sauce is un matched. taste and crunch for yourself, you'll love it!!!!!!
