Describing this Indian restaurant is no easy task.. The Scene
Sree's dining room has formica booths and food is served on Styrofoam plates with plastic tableware. Bring drinks, as only water is offered. You ladle out the soup yourself.

The Food
So what's the draw? First, the food is delicious. Chef Vydehi (call her Mrs. Sree), produces delicious Indian fare. She leads off with masala dosa, made of three types of hand-ground lentils fermented overnight, mixed into batter and fried. There are three or four main dishes, with both vegetarian and meat-based curries of different types, with basmati and often a spiced rice. Second, the price is so low that people are embarrassed, and often demand to pay more. Third, the Srees are two of the kindest, most generous people in the restaurant business, and deserve to succeed. They just need to learn how to charge.
