Tio Pepe

Now Featuring Paella Festival

  • Voted Best Magarita in NYC
  • Paella Festival at $12.95
  • Skylight Garden, Tapas & More

It's party time at Tío Pepe, the venerable landmark in Greenwich Village. Since 1970, this delightful restaurant has charmed its way into the hearts of New Yorkers. Tío Pepe has managed to cook up all the right ingredients for success. Tío Pepe has been voted "numero uno" for its Spanish cuisine while food writers have lavished praise upon the wonderful Mexican specialties. Tío Pepe evokes the true spirit of both Spain and Mexico. It is one of the few restaurants that has successfully merged the best entrees from Spain such as Paella Valenciana, with the regional specialties of Mexico, such as a variety of sizzling fajitas. You will be immediately satisfied with your dining choices, all at a reasonable price.

Editorial Review for Tio Pepe – by Allison Austin

In Short
Out-of-towners flock to this festively decorated restaurant for predictable Mexican fare and blended margaritas. The menu includes all the usual suspects--fresh guacamole, quesadillas, burritos--as well as Spanish dishes like paella. The bar features several TVs, making it popular for game-day drinkers. There's a spacious garden area out back, but the green lights can make eating there unappetizing.

A very trendy and cool restaurant .... The menu offers Spanish and Mexican food both with exquisite flavors ....I tried the Guacamole, one of the guacamoles that I have had in New York. The service was excellent .

I just arrived from Spain, and I was so amazed by the Spanish food at Tio Pepe .... The guacamole is also one of the best in the city. Very cool when they prepare it just right next to you.

Pros: everything!

Cons: none
