VCA Duncan Manor Animal Hospital

FIND ANOTHER VETERINARIAN!!!!. We have been taking our dogs to Duncan Manor for the past 8 1/2 years. (We followed our Vet of 20 years to this practice). It was a wonderful, friendly place. The staff was great and everyone seemed genuinely interested in the wellbeing of our dogs.

All that changed when they became part of the VCA franchise.

Staff began to disappear, the atmosphere went from warm and caring to sterile. The prices were raised with no notice, it just wasn't the same place.

We stayed because our beloved Vet was there as well as the front office staff who were like extended family members.

Unfortunately, as time passed it has only gotten worse.

After visiting today for a routine appointment we did not see a single familiar face.

We left with an empty uneasiness that can only be described as a feeling of sadness and betrayal.

As much as we adore our Vet, we are moving on.

We want to find a place where pets and their owners are still treated with care and respect. We view our dogs as cherished family members, not as the VCA system does- merely furry sources of income....…

Caution!!! .... RUN A WAY!!!. We started going to DMAH five years ago and have watched a dozen doctors leave during that time. The hospital unfortunately has followed the path of a lot of self destructive businesses today. At some point they lose their way and allowed "profits" to guide them instead what made them original successful. Subsequently you end up with ridiculous pricing and an inexperienced staff or even worse an incompetent staff that destroys your once reputable business.

My dog has been misdiagnosed twice know costing me thousands of dollars for incorrect treatments and hospital stays plus the mental anguish I could not put a dollar value on. "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me" ...…
