Tips for Platinum Pooch

Business Response for previous review. I apologize that you were unhappy with your service. However, in regards to your pet needing to see a vet and your attempts to contact us, there was not a single message left on our voicemail, and nor is it in our caller ID log. We use 100% natural products made for pets, so "chemical burns"; is not possible. Maybe a slight irritation, but that is unpredictable. Also, considering you have a golden retreiver, a Haircut would not be suggested for your dog. And certainly not bullied. We disussed undercoat removal. Your living social voucher clearly states that haircuts AND undercoat removal charges may apply. We actually had grounds to decline your voucher for failure to comply. The voucher also says, sanitary trim and pad hair removal.Your dog recieved a professional grooming service. Again, I apologize you were unhappy with your visit in our salon.

Bought a certificate for a doggie spa (includes bath, brush, nail trim and ear cleaning) from Living Social. Never visited this place before. Upon arrival the stuff was really trying to convince me to pay for a grooming too though all I wanted was my furry friend to have a bath and be brushed. They really were trying to sell me something extra and not in a very nice way. After 2 hours i returned to pick up my dog and we went home. That same night I noticed my dog acts weird. He kept licking himself and when I looked what was the matter I noticed that he has burns from some chemicals on his chest above his front paws and on his head!!!!! I don't know what they sprayed on him and if they just forgot to rinse something off him but it hurt and bothered him a lot I can tell.We had to go to the vet!!! I kept calling "Platinum Pooch" to find out what was that they sprayed on my dog but it was a Thanksgiving weekend and they have been closed. It's been more than a week now since we visited that place and my dog is still recovering. Another thing is that they cut some of his fur off his belly and paws anyway though I told them I don't want a haircut for him!!!!! Terrible experience!!! Will never go back and will tell everybody I know about how bad this place is!!!!

Great service for Verona pets!. I have an English Bulldog and with all of their wrinkles, they need extra attention during bathing. He was only bathed in our home until we decided to try another area groomer. We were sorry and swore we'd never let someone else bathe him.

I saw The Platinum Pooch opened and needed a place to get his nails clipped and teeth brushed. After talking to Donna and Jessica, we decided to give them a try for bathing him also. Finally! Donna does it right. My dog has come back home to us after several baths smelling so fresh, dried to perfection (which is what can cause a nasty infection if any extra moisture is left behind) and soft to the touch for days! Each month there is a new spa scent and so far they have all been so great!

I like that Donna and Jess will bring anything to my attention that they noticed during grooming and it's obvious they truly care about the pets as if they were their own. I am so glad they opened their shop in Verona.
