lawrenceville fun. relaxed place. food reads like a taco cart that i remember from visiting mexico. drinks pay homage to the nice selection of tequilas. music is good, and there's a large back patio. all in all its hard to not enjoy yourself.
Waiting for a table at Piccolo Forno? Wait here!.
Overall, going to this place was an odd adventure, and one of those things that you should probably avoid unless you, like us, were waiting for your table at Piccolo Forno. Before we could even walk across the street to go inside, the following happened; a random customer is leaving the bar. we see him walk out, and start walking down the street. nothing unique. then, a bartender or someone that worked there opens the door (apparently it didn't close all the way), runs out onto the sidewalk, and screams after the customer, "HEY DOUCHEBAG, CLOSE THE DOOR!" Uhh, so, yeah, not exactly a welcoming vibe.
Then, of course, the place is filled with people who think that they are hipsters, and possibly some who actually are. Either way, ew.
We also had a weird experience with a waitress here. Maybe she was on her period so I'll let it slide.
Food is not spicy even though it claims to be, and when we requested hot sauce, instead of bringing a bottle of tabasco, we were given an unsanitary, homemade container of carrot juice (umm...what?)
Good selection at the bar, and the drinks are made well if you keep it simple. Hipsters, after all, are simple people, right?
Oh, and make sure to close the door when you leave....
