Best Pizza in Oakland. I have been a big fan of Pizza Sola, from their location on East Carson in the South Side, so when I found myself in Oakland the other day, I was excited to find they have a shop in the neighborhood. WOW! This location is beautiful and clean. Marble tables, flat screen tvs, well lit display unit and a friendly staff.

I opted to grab a slice of the Jimmy the Saint, because I liked the name, and the server told me they made their sausage in house. My friend ended up grabbing an order of wings and a garden salad with a kalmata dressing. In the end we split everything and I have to say I was blown away by the quality and price. The pizza had ample toppings, served hot and the sausage is (almost) as good as my grandmothers. We ended up using the salad dressing (more like a tapenade) to finish off the last remnants of crust because it was impossible to leave a bite.

The wings could possibly be the best in the city and it was clear they were making their own sauces including a homemade blue cheese.

Kudos to Pizza Sola for being able to pull this off in Oakland. We'll be back.
