Nice Place, Nice Food, Take the Time to do things right. The place is packed on Friday and Saturday nights, so if you are thinking of walking in, call ahead instead. Monday thru Thursday allows you time to relax and take your time. Try some wine flights, join the wine club, talk to the bartender about wine, the owners about the food; just enjoy yourself.

I have eaten at the Tasting Bar, at a table with a companion and at events. Each time it has been quite a treat. The only problem is a space limitation in the winter time but in the summer, sit at tables outside and enjoy the night air.

Besides wine tastings, they have had two Single Malt Scotch tastings with a well-known U.S. small batch bottler moderating the events. If you have never really understood scotch, stop in and inquire when the next tasting might be.

One last aside, if you have an itch to try "Wild Boar" or on occasion, elk, stop in. As a teenager, I would go to "Frenchy's" near Heinz Hall and have Wild Board Stew or Octopus in Soy Sauce for dinner. I always looked forward to a trip downtown for dinner as a kid. When I learned that the "Naked Grape" had boar, I was elated. It is not a Germanic styled stew like "Frenchy's" but an Italian take on boar that is wonderful. If you have never had "Wild Boar", you will love it the way the "Naked Grape" does it.

Pittsburgh's Very Best!!!. Beyond even the Terrific Tuscan menu, the extensive and carefully selected wine list, and the graciousness of its proprietors and staff, dining at The Naked Grape is an experience to be treasured. Every aspect says "Welcome!" and "Thank you!" The rich humanity of its owners extends to the many menu options. One can eat and drink like royalty, one can eat and drink on a strict budget, one can eat and drink on all all levels between. Whoever you are, if you are at The Naked Grape, you will be receive the gift of its many wonders.
