Better than it looks.
When you walk into this place it feels like you'll get a disease. But the people working there are so nice you can hardly believe it. I saw them deal with a really very rude person who was cussing
them out over who knows what, and the girl just stayed calm as can be and dealt with the person nice and polite but told them they needed to calm down or leave. I almost left but thought maybe I should give them a chance. The doctor was great and everything was explained to me really well by the contacts girl and I even got a pair of glasses included with contacts!
When I picked up my contacts there was another person in there causing problems being really rude to them all, but another girl at the front stepped in and asked the person to come sit down and talk it out to calm down. That seemed to work, but wow so crazy.
I don't know why this place looks so bad maybe they aren't making any money to take care of it. But I hope they pay their workers good for all they put up with. Theres a lot of rude people trying to bring them down.…
Unbelievable! not in a good way.. I just do not believe this place has the audacity to be in operation. I have been a client since 1984 and have never been so demoralized and felt so cheated as I have during my last visit in mid March of this year, I had requested a morning appointment, since I work in downtown PIttsburgh. I was told that the earliest apointment that I could get would be in late April. I took that appointment. I told the associate that that I had been a customer for over 25 years. I was informed by this person that my file had been lost so there was no record of my existance as a customer. Upon my visit I was really surprised at the dank and dirty entry into the shop. I signed in for a new supply of contact lenses. I was asked to wait and the doctor would be with me shortly. Later, after I had been seen by the doctor, I was again asked to wait as they prepared the fitting room. After my fitting I was escorted to another room where the associate told me that a years supply of contacts would be $269.00+ and that I must pay a fitting fee of $60.00, outrageous. I paid the fee and left the building. I was contacted three weeks later and was told, my lenses were in. The next visit was more appalling than the last. I waited over a half hour and was told that they were short handed today and that is why I had to wait (do you think I would have gotten a phone call telling me this...no). Other clients entered the store and they were taken before me! When I got home that day I logged onto a contact lens website and purchased a year supply of lenses for $45.00 with a reduction of shipping and handling. Caveat Emptor....…
great service. eye and ear is a great place to go... i would recommend them to anyone...they have a very friendly staff!!!
Should just be called Eye & Ear Sales (FORGET SERVICE CO.).
I don't know what happened to this company. Ten years ago they gave great service at a fair price, now I just can't recommend them in good conscience. Bad service, extremely pricey. Staff doesn't
seem to know that they are doing. I think they need to rethink why they're in business, show courtesy and train their staff in customer service. They charged me for my contact lens up front. I didn't recieve them for over a month. They said they would send them to me. They didn't! The recipt they gave me didn't reflect the real amount that I paid, and the list goes on.......I finally went and picked up my lens today. No professionalism....NONE

Great In Person - HORRIBLE telephone service.. I had a great experience each time I went into the office. Everytime I telephoned I had the worst service. They are rushing you off the phone and will not answer any questions. I have been in there and it is not soo.... busy that they do not have the time to be curtious and listen for a minute. They really should reevaluate who they allow to answer the telephone.…
