Fine food but who wants to be belittled?. I tried to get over the attitude of every member of The Quiet Storm's staff, only because I like the food. Any time I go there, the service is horrid, the bill is usually calculated incorrectly, and recently I was paid a "special" visit by the owner to let me know that those at my table were too loud. At the time, there were 2 other tables filled in the restaurant. We apparently were not the type of clientele that The Quiet Storm prefers--ones who get up to ask again for the napkins that were never brought to them, ones that have to go to the counter to pay because their bill is never brought to them, and ones that gave the place another chance for the last time. The food is good. But it's not worth the price of being made to feel like a fool.

Great Place. Great place to eat. The food was yummy and very unique. It's a bit higher priced for the amount of food you get... but still unique. Thanks

Cool Vegetarian Spot, Great Food. I've been to the Quiet Storm a handful of times, and was really happy with my visit today. They were serving Sunday brunch. My boyfriend and I both ordered the pear-pecan stuffed french toast. The food was DELICIOUS and came with a side of the BEST fruit bowl you'll find in the city. All the brunches were $10 with bottomless coffee tea or pop. The coffee was great! Service is just so-so, but the food makes up for it. They have a good drink menu too with coffee drinks, vegan milkshakes, and other frozen drinks. Also a small bakery area that usually has an assortment of vegan and non-vegan cookies, cupcakes, brownies and other baked goods. I would give them 5 stars but the service is not great, as I said.

Avoid the Storm. Visiting from out of town, I was looking forward to vegan eating at the Quiet Storm and took two non-vegetarians to lunch with me. I was very disappointed in the food. The salsa was really strange, unlike any I've ever had, and not in a good way. The hummus tasted as though the cook had never made hummus before--pretty much like mashed chick peas. It was acceptable, but nothing more. My seitan sandwich was uninspired and so salty that I could eat only a small portion of it. Certainly not a good advertisement for vegetarianism. I ate at the East End Food Co-op the next day, and wished I had never found The Quiet Storm.

Fine food, a**holes serving it.. The food is good but too bad the staff are complete a**holes. Rude, mean, not kid friendly (as the toys and kid's books would lead you to believe). Obviously these people don't know how to keep customers. They won't be around much longer.
