Matt Mertz Plumbing replaced my sewer with out digging up my whole yard. I was a little leery to do this since I was unfamiliar with this technology. Matt gave me a packet with information, showed me photos of previous lines they did, and also a sample of what the new liner would look like. After I was informed I knew there was no other way of doing it. Matt and his crew started right after I approved the estimated price. They worked for about 4 hours on Thursday total to install the new sewer in one day. That was digging and putting the line in and getting ready for the county inspector? the next morning! I was so impressed with how fast and efficient they worked. The inspectors came (following morning-ish: Friday) and did what they had to do. Matt told me we would be finished by lunch time. Around 12:45 Matts crew was sweeping the dirt up and cleaning around the area that was dug. The 4 foot by 6 foot spot was covered and topped with grass seed. Matt replaced roughly 110 foot from the hole. Well worth the money I spent. He is easy to speak with and very reliable

I really couldn't believe how personable & friendly the Lady from Matt Mertz Plumbing was when I called .She very quick & efficiently took my information, she said a Plumber would be at my home shortly ...and she wasn't kidding! The man I call "Super Mike" was at my Cranberry home in a flash,sized up the job,let me know was the price (which I thought was Quite Fair) and proceeded to do the do...in no time he was done. This gentleman performed a Professional,Excellent job,with a guarantee and was on his way..I will Highly recommend your company to all ! Thanks again!!!!!!

Reliable plumber for our old home with many problems. I was very pleased with Matt Mertz Plumbing's service yesterday evening. I came home from work and pulled into my detached garage. I noticed a pipe was leaking very badly everywhere. I stormed into the house and turned the main water shut off valve off, but I did not know how to turn the water off from the house to the detached garage. I was in a complete panic hoping that the water won't create too much damage to my possessions I stored in the garage. I called Matts office and his secretary said she would have Matt call me right away. And he did! (With-in minutes!!!) I explained my predicament and he assured me that he would have that taken care of with in the hour. Matt's plumber Jesse showed up and changed the ball valves in the basement, and also from the house to the garage. Jesse also showed me if there was ever an emergency again right where to shut off all the valves. It took less than an hour and I was ecstatic with the service. I will be sure to use Matt Mertz Plumbing again. My home is 100+ years old and will definitely need maintenance.

Two words: THE BEST. I had a hand full of small plumbing issues that needed fixed at my home. I called Matt Mertz Plumbing, got an estimate over the phone and made the appointment to do the work. Hunter came to my home promptly at 8:30. He put on his shoe covers and went right to work. It took him about three hours to do all the work! I was so happy. After the work was done, he cleaned up all debris. (he wouldnt leave until it was to my satisfaction.) He gave me the bill for the work- it was exactly what the estimate was for. I wad very happy with the work done. I will call them again. I am on the head of our community bulletin and we added Matt Mertz plumbing to the list of people to call in our community bulletin.

quality plumbing. Matt Mertz Plumbing does quality work and is locally owned. I had my counter top replaced in the kitchen and needed my new sink, faucet, and garbage disposal installed. I had an appointment for between 9-11am. Matt's licensed plumber Hunter called at 9:10 to inform me he was on his way. Hunter wore shoe booties which I thought was a nice touch in customer service! He completed his work and cleaned up very neatly. I was curious and had a few plumbing questions. Hunter was very patient and explained everything I asked in great detail. Will use again.

Family owned AND Fully insured with referrals. My wife and I wanted to remodel our basement and noticed that the floor drain backed up every so often while doing laundry. So before we put down new(and expensive) hardwood flooring we wanted to fix the issue at hand.

She researched different plumbing companies online and called three local companies for estimates. We explained the situation the same to every company. Matt came out that evening and gave us an estimate on his way home. He even cameraed the drain to pin point the exact break with our sewer line. (The break was located outside the home about five feet. We have a lot of trees surrounding our home and the break was due to tree root damage) I saw this and knew that he was up to date with all the new plumbing products and technology. The other two companies I had to wait for an appointment the following week....just for an estimate?!!

Matt said after we get the estimates and if we decide to go with his company- to please just call or even email(which I am a fan of.) and we can make the appointment. I asked about insurance. Matt then called his secratery and had her email me a copy while Matt was at our home. Matt is fully insured and bonded and also gave referalls if we wanted.

That evening my wife and I spoke about our visit from Matt and decided to go with his company right away since we had a good experience when Matt came for the estimate. He is a positive person who is knowledgable about plumbing in all aspects.

We called Matt the following morning and made an appointment for the end of the week. Matt and his cousin Brian came with their personally owned excavator and started the project. It took two full days including inspection from all proper authorities. Once they backfilked Matt Mertz Plumbing dressed up our yard with top soil and grass seed. That was just icing on the cake. One less this around the yard for me to do!

We highly recommend Matt Mertz Plumbing. They are a plumbing company with values and also family owned!

Satisfaction Guaranteed. The best plumbing service I've ever seen!

We had a plumbing issue (running toilet) two weeks ago and Hunter came out to fix the problem. It was working well for a couple weeks, but today it stopped flushing completely. I called Matt, and was happily surprised that they answered the phones on a Sunday. I explained the situation to Matt and mentioned that Hunter had stopped by a few weeks prior. Matt said he could be by in a couple minutes (?!) to fix it. I was so relieved, given that we only have one bathroom, and I didn't feel like joining the dogs outside.

He was there in less than 30 minutes to assess the problem. He determined that the chain had snapped, and quickly replaced it. As he was leaving, he asked to see the invoice from Hunter. When I asked him how much I owed him, he replied "nothing". I asked twice more, and he would not let me pay him. I was so impressed with the quick arrival time, expedient service, and refusal to take payment (given that they had recently come out for an unrelated problem). I would recommend them to anyone who needs a highly skilled plumber who feels that business integrity is more important than a quick buck.

Good to coordinate with. I live in Erie but I have a rental home in Cranberry Township. My tenant called me telling me that her tub/shower was not working properly. She said it would make a humming noise and also would not go from tub faucet to shower when she moved the lever. I looked online and saw that Matt has a great reputaion so I gave him a call. I explained the problem and also told him I do not live in the area. He said that was fine and I gave him my tenants information to arrange an appointment that would be good for Matt and also my tenant. I asked him if he could email me an invoice since I am responsible for paying. He said that would be no problem and also that he would update me once Matt fixed the plumbing problem. Very kind, fast, and easy to cooridnate for the busy person out of area!! Thanks Matt!

The plumber everyone wants!. I was in my gameroom the other day and my floor felt damp. To my surprise when I opened the utility room door, I found where the water was coming from- my water heater. I did some research online and found that Matt has an A+ on the BBB and also my neighbor uses him, so I gave him a call. I spoke to his secretary and gave her all my information and she told me Matt could come later that day to replace it. When he showed up, he was very proffessional and neat. I got a quote over the phone and when Matt gave me my invoice- It was excatly what they quoted. No surprises. So, if you are looking for a plumber who come and gets the job done efficiantly and right with a fair price- I recommend Matt.

My vote for 2011 best plumber. See, Matt is a very easy going guy to get along with.

I had a huge list of misc. plumbing I needed done and wanted to get it done as fast as possible. Matt made an appointment with me. He explained that the water would need to be off for half the day and ensured everything would be done to my satisfaction. When he arrived (exactly on time!) he went over with me what was being done and a rough time frame. After lunch I returned home and to my surprise everything was completed early!! Matt is very worth waiting for. I did my research and he is very well priced, local. and a 'younger' plumber who will be around to help you with any plumbing needs for years to come. I recommend him to all my neighbors!
