Not the best choice!. I went to Med Mex looking for great Mexican food and did not get it. It was so dark in the place you could not see your dinner partner across the table. Let alone what was one your plate. After tasting the food it was probably better off that we did not see it. I would highly recommend eating at El campesino acroos the hwy, if you want great mexican food.

Never ceases to amaze me!. Mad Mex has always been one of my favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh and it never fails to disappoint. I highly recommend the classic Mad Mex Burrito or the Red Velvet Burrito. The salad with Mahi Mahi on it is also very tasty. The chicken in my burrito was a little overcooked this past time (fairly hard to chew and tasted a little burnt), but that flavor was masked by the deliciousness of the spicy spinach, the black beans and the gooey cheese. Outdoor seating is a major bonus, but plan to wait for a long time for an outside table. One complaint - this drink tax thing is getting awfully old. I will buy just as many drinks and tip just as much as before the drink tax. Seeing the posters/table cards everywhere really ruins the ambience of the restaurant. Every time I'm in a Mad Mex restaurant, people are still guzzling the margaritas and Coronas, so you guys must not be hurting too bad!!
