Worst Hair Cut EVER!!.
I thought I'd give this place a chance since it was a Chinese hair salan and I'd had good experiences at other chinese hair places. The woman that I got was Dita, a blonde European lady who was very nice. However, she did not know what she was doing!!
I asked to have my hair cut 1 inch, instead she cut it 2-3 inches with not a scissor but a razor blade-comb thingy. She then put gel in my hair before blow drying it AND then put WAX in my hair (she says to keep frizz down).
What I walked out with was a helmet head, half wet hair, sticky and stiff from the wax and gel. I was so upset. One side of my hair was also longer than the other. I had to wash my hair TWICE when I got home to get the stuff out of it. It was so nasty.
I'll never go there again and will never tell anyone else to.
Great asian hair salon. Being Asian-American in Pittsburgh isn't easy, what with the mostly bad asian food around salons that give me the same exact layered haircut every time. When I saw an ad for Lin's hair studio in the Strip, I was at first excited, then hesitant. Were they any good? Would I wind up with crazy J-pop hair? I finally decided to try it, and was very, very pleasantly surprised. Lin is a very sweet lady who paid a lot of attention to detail and knew how to handle my asian hair. I love my new haircut! It fits my personality and is exactly what I've been wanting but didn't know I wanted. Highly recommend.
