Very good

EXCELLENT RIBS!! The sauces are made there and they are spectacular. The pulled pork sandwich and the brisket is also very tasty. This place is great if you are in the mood for BBQ!!
Double your pleasure

I went there cause the people were all cool and they have outdoor seating. They had a big screen outside to watch the Penguins playoff which was fun. Inside the garage doors were open and they had flat screen tv's everywhere. My waitress and the other hick servers were cool.
They have the servers looking like garage workers and hicks for fun. It was interesting.
My food was good and it was a cool place to eat and hang!
- Pros: cool people in evening, outdoor seating, good food
- Cons: crowded, during the day are bikers

I <3 <3<3 double wide grill!! I'll admit they were a little rough around the edges at first, but they've blossomed into a fantastic place. I love their outdoor seating in the warm weather seasons. There are tons of different things going on indoors during the colder seasons (honkey tonk bingo, game nite, etc.). They have the best seitan wings ( vegetarian ) in Pittsburgh. They are crisp and chewy, and never greasy! I can't decide if I like the hot&spicy more than the BBQ or Honey Garlic. My dad always gets the "build your own t.v. dinner tray" He usually gets rac-o-rib, sauteed shrimp, herb & garlic mashed potatoes, FRESH fruit cup, and whatever they're offering for the veggie that day FOR ONLY 15 SMACKERS!!! I am also a big fan of their coconut tofu! It's awesome that I can go somewhere with my entire family. It can be difficult with a vegan, vegetarian, and 2 meateaters! They always have the pitt, pens, or STEELERS game on, too! There are 3 projection screens in the back room and a chilling area with sofas and t.v. I know there are a ton of shops and restaurants on E. Carson St. in the South Side, but this is one restaurant you shouldn't pass up. I've never been disappointed and their waitstaff is wonderful.
- Pros: fun atmosphere
- Cons: parking
Nice Atmosphere... but go elsewhere

My roomate and I went to the Double Wide to hang out outside on a nice summer evening. We had good service and split the nachos which were very good as well. For dinner I had the coconut chicken, which was very tasty and my roomate had the Briscut sandwich, which he didn't like. Early the following morning I became extremely and had to miss work the following day. Prices are rather high and you could spend less eating at better establishments in the area. I particularly didn't care for spending the amount of money that I did and getting sick.
The next day I spoke with the manager of the restaurant to give them a heads up to look for any patterns of customers getting sick, I felt as if I was wasting his time and didn't receive a thank you for the warning or even a thank you for eating there. If you want to put yourself at risk of getting sick, I would recommend this place, otherwise I'd go elsewhere.
- Pros: Outdoor Atmosphere
- Cons: Food, Prices
