I thought of opening a candy store myself but was told it wo.
Don't come here looking for an overwhelming display of gourmet chocolate, its not that kind of candy store. Though it does have gourmet chocolate, there just are not enough people who care about "F. Tumbled Beans"
to make a store work.
What the Village Candy does have is that "kid in a candy store" look. Oh I wish I was 6 again, I would beg to go to this place daily. I'd even go out into the yard to pick up sticks, just to get some candy from this place.
Now, I get candy for others here (with occasional treats for myself) and I buy from their fabulous selection of soda pops. Where else can you go for specialty soda tastings? I do not know but since I'm on this side of the State, I'm going to Village Candy.
Chicago has it "Magnificent Mile" but Sewickley has a "Few Blocks of Shopping Bliss". I love going to Chicago but the daily visits to Sewickley never get boring.
