Quick Peek
Two determined students at a West Coast University, Arian and Ernest, follow the inspiration of their idealistic professor, Dr. Malley, and attempt to do something important with their lives. But when the two make the bold decision to join the battle in Afghanistan, Malley is both moved and distraught. Now, as Arian and Ernest fight for survival in the field, they become the string that binds together two disparate stories on opposite sides of America. In California, an anguished Dr. Malley attempts to reach a privileged but disaffected student, who is the very opposite of Arian and Ernest. Meanwhile, in Washington, D.C. the charismatic Presidential hopeful, Senator Jasper Irving, is about to give a bombshell story to a probing TV journalist that may affect Arian and Ernest's fates. As arguments, memories and bullets fly, the three stories are woven ever more tightly together, revealing how each of these Americans has a profound impact on each other and the world.

Good movie but OK to wait for video. Robert Redford showcases his Acting, his Directing and HIS political beliefs. Is this a story of a waste of life? A story of commitment to what you believe? A story of the degradation of what the political machine is doing? Take a look and see what you think... Tom Cruise, Glenn Close, Robert Redford and the 3 major young actors were excellent! I really enjoyed this movie but I would like to see what others think and see what they get out of it!

I had high hopes for this movie. I started to get worried when a friend and myself were the only ones in the movie theater to see it, this is a large theater too on a friday night! So it was suppose to start at 9:30pm and because there was nobody there, i guess they waited. So the movie started just after 10pm and we sat with another few couples which i thought was strange for a newer movie. My friend rang her husband and he said the reviews are pretty bad for it. Well i know why! Because this was the worst movie I've ever seen in my entire life!! We ended up walking out on the movie half way through. It was starting to hurt my head on how much they feel the American people and the rest of the world are so dumb. That was complete torture!! I ended up leaving the movie half way through upset, i cannot believe that someone put money into this. I have now made the vow to never watch another film by Tom Cruise! I would warn anyone out there, do not go to this movie, i wasted 20 dollars for a picture i couldn't even sit the whole way through. Very very troubling movie...
Pros: I cannot think of one
Cons: Boring, pure propergander, stupid, troubling
