Slow Service, Overpriced Burnt Food. This was my second time dining at La Casa & I was really disappointed. The first time I went the waiter was somewhat slow, but the food was good so I gave it a second try. This time the waiter was even slower, didn't seem to care at all about doing his job. We had to ask for bread, then we had to ask for oil for our bread.. and we got 4 tiny tiny 2" long slices, including the heal of the bread. Our food took forever to get to us - another table bigger than us that came in after us already had several things. Then when it came, it was burnt. The crab cakes were dry & unimpressive & definitely not worth $10 for 2 of them. I don't think I'd go back again.

big change. La Casa used to be one of my favorite restaurants...the staff was friendly and the food was great. My last experience was terrible. There were 3 staff working, a hostess, a bartender, and a server. The hostess first took our drink order, but was unable to remember the 3 beers available and forgot my wine order. The menu has changed and the food was not near as good. The dining room was not full and we had to wait a very long time for our tapas. When we ordered more tapas, the server seemed put out and told us that it would "be a while because the kitchen is backed up". The bartender then came over and asked if I wanted another glass of wine, but she never brought it, but we were charged for it at the end of the night. I suppose the restaurant is under new management and I am very disappointed and will not go there again.

Best moroccan and spanish food. My husband and I are regular customers at la Casa. We often dine over there cause the seleection of tapas and entrees is so big that you end up by ordering what you are in the mood for. Best sangrias and mojitos in the city and trust me they are delicious.

best authentic tapas in pittsburgh. After a visit to Spain, we tried La Casa & loved its food, friendliness, & service ever since. It is a wonderful experience to try numerous dishes of tapas, one greater than the previous one. The server does everything to please the customer & treats you like a family member. Tapas is presented from every food group & in every price range. You are given plenty of time to sample each dish, advice on what to order, explanations of the dishes, & personal detail is given to every minute of your dining experience at La Casa. There are dishes to please everyone: vegetables, meat, & seafood. It is a true dining experience as you sample mouth watering delights from the various small dishes of tapas ordered. Everything is fresh & is made at the restaurant. If you want to try tapas (small plates of every type of food) that you share with your companions, La Casa is a must for you. For the sweet tooth, desserts such as flan, pastries made with the freshest fruits, and a warm chocolate cake, that is to die for, are just a few of the offerings. Anyone who likes delicious food & enjoys a variety of foods will simply love La Casa and the staff makes your evening unforgettable

good food, horrible service. It would have been a fun place if our waiter and the bartender had not been so rude. They seemed annoyed that we were even there - and we were one of only 3 tables on a slow weeknight. Oh and I guess asking for a refill on the bread is unacceptable - the waiter gave us some excuse and said we only get one basket. It's not like we weren't spending money and just trying to get free bread - our bill came to $150...Won't ever go back!!!

Great experience. just went to la casa last weekend and had a great experience. The patio is just unique for Pittsburgh and it felt like we were dining somewhere in South America.

It was a very busy night so the service was a little slow but it was worth waiting.

Great Place. Since la casa open in 2005, i've been a regular and i don't really think that this place gets enought credit. The selection of tapas is so large that u can always find something to eat and best sangrias in pittsburgh.

Come and check it out yourself and u won't regret it.

awful service. I have actually been to La Casa about 4 times and never a good experience. The only reason I went 4 times was because I got 1/2 price gift certificates online (where it wasn't posted a while back that you could only use 1 per visit). Every time I have been the service is awful. Unfortunately, I seem to get the same server most times - he is rude, condescending and has no sense of customer service. Once we sat at the bar and the bartender was annoyed that we were paying with a gift certificate and was rude the entire time. She wasn't even busy and made us wait at least 15 minutes just to get our check while she stood there talking. Either way, we would tip what is appropriate whether using a gift certificate or not, so why should it bother her? Another time, I went on New Year?s Eve (made a reservation in advance). The staff was rushing us through the entire meal b/c apparently they had a private party coming in later - however, they took our reservation. If it was inconvenient, they shouldn't have made the reservation. Our holiday dinner with friends was rushed. Finally, Omar, the owner, promised before he would take the gift certificates even once they expired since we were misled that you could only use 1 at a time. Of course, when I finally came in with 1 expired certificate, the staff gave me a hard time. Some of the food at La Casa is good, but I would not recommend the restaurant at all. It's over-priced and there are so many other nice restaurants with great service!
