Don't Bother!!. My family and I went to the Ichiban in the waterworks mall a few months ago and it was wonderful. So last night for my birthday my husband took my kids and I to the one in Cranberry. Never in my life have I ever had such an awful experience. I had ordered the emporers dinner, my husband had lobster and filet and one of our girls had ordered the chicken. The chef then put in terriaki sauce (not asked for!) into her chicken and our lobster and scallops!!! This ruined the entire portion of lobster and scallops that I was really looking forward to. Then to top everything off, my waiter asked if he could take my plate (still full of ALL the food, rice, noodles, fillet, shrimp, lobster and scallops). I told him I wanted to take it home. He then threw it all away. I was so infuriated at this point I asked the manager on duty to just take off my dinner from the bill. Because of this we have no plans to ever go there again. I just thought someone should know of the lack of service and food quality that there is there.

Rather good food and experience. My family and I each there on occasion. Its one of our kids favorite places. Ive eaten at these type of restaurants all over the country and it is bar none the best in this area. They are the only ones that give a free helping of shrimp, their soup and salads are good, service and chefs are excellent. I can barely finish my meal when Im there.

I found the dinner to be greasy, but my friends thought it was good.. I really like japanese food and have been to japanese restaurants all over the country, but this restuarant didn't impress me. The chefs are entertaining, but they add tons of butter to the oil and the food ends up tasting really greasy. My friends liked their dinners, but I won't go there again.

Ichiban. Good Atmosphere, better chefs than at most japanese places, the sauces were a bit overpowering, the salad swam in dressing and the tea was not hot.. seems a bit overpriced but overall a decent place to eat.
