Booth tanned me fast. I was very surprised when I had really good color only after 4 visits! I was very pleased with the booths and how knowledgeable the staff was. I will defiantly be going back whenever I need to get some color.

Hollywood Tans = amazing. Great place to get a tan. And also a great location. The store is very clean and always smells good. The ladys that work there are very friendly and helpful. May I also say they have a great music selection!

Great tanning booths. I usually go to the tanning pitt in Oakland. But my friend gave me this card it was a $5 week of tanning in there best booth. So I went just because it was cheap and I felt like I was't getting as tan as I should at the Tanning pitt. First is that they only have stand up which is awesome. I never liked laying down in the beds because I felt like I was laying down in a bed of germs. And my butt would always get burned. Anyways. After that week of tanning (which I went 5 out of the 7 days) I had such good color. And my tan lasted longer than I expected.

The girls that work there are extremely nice and probably know a little to much about tanning than a normal person should. They have a ton of booths so I never had to wait. And there's a bus stop right next to the store so it is easy to get to from Oakland. I don't tan a lot. Just when I have an event coming up or for vacation. But I'm very happy that i discovered this salon.

Saved my day!. I was getting married Saturday. And decided to get a spray tan 2 days before the wedding. I went to another salon. And it came out horrible! I was so upset. I tried everything to get it off. I called Hollywood tans (among other salons, seems like they were the only ones who cared), and they helped me so much!! They gave me this cream stuff that takes off the spray tan instantly. And they talked me into doing another spray tan. Because I was so upset of how pale I was. I did it..and WOW sooo happy that I did. Couldn't of came out better. I just wish it was a little closer to my house.

Never been better :). I have been a customer for a very long time. This salon has never been better. They have the new mystic, which I now am in love with. I use to do the old one that sucked. But this one is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. They seem to be living up to there "hollywood" name. As I read these reviews about bad customer service..I mean even if they were bad in customer service (which they have always been so nice and very helpful to me and my friends that tan there) who cares. Its a tanning salon. Its not the end of the world. Your in there for no more that 10mins. And then your out. I don't get why people think that just because your upset. The world needs to revolve around you. I work in customer service so I know what is good customer service and what is bad customer service. Hollywood tans is for sure a place I will be taking my business always. I have been to other salons in the area. And this one by far is the best!

Bottom line if you want to get a great tan, or even a spray tan. This is the place. They know what there talking about and they are extremely nice. Not the bubbly stuck up fake nice girls you would expect to work at a tanning salon. They are real people and very professional.

VERY HAPPY :D. As I read the reviews for this salon before I went. I was on the off side thinking this would be an awful experience. I just moved to the area and not having a car. This is the closest tanning salon to me. That said. The staff was SO NICE, and I've never use tanning lotion before. I didn't know how much it improves my tan! I'm very happy that I have chosen this salon. And I got 50%off for just being a new customer :D very happy about that. I told them about the bad reviews and I was told that its under new management, and all new staff. I have gone at least 10 times and every time I've been there the salon is very clean the staff is extremely nice. And they even remember me every time I come in. And being new to the city they have told me all the good eating places and shopping. I was very surprised to know that they took extra time to help me out. I recommend this salon to everyone! :D

beware of hollywood tans. Dirty as hell <this place is disgusting and about as clean as a truck stop mens room. The spray tan leaves clumps and streaks. The stand up booths had burnt out bulbs and it smelled awful. I asked for a refund and was told to call Jason ., He laughed at me then told me to sue him.

Helpful Staff for My Big Day. I went into Hollywood Tans last week and I had a great time. I was getting a tan for my wedding and the staff knew exactly what kind of package and lotion I would need to make me look my best for *the most important day of my life*. I would recommend this salon to any other salon hands-down. The equipment was clean and much quicker than any other salons I have been to in Pittsburgh.

Go to another Hollywood Tans...preferably one with parking. Hi! I've been a customer of Hollywood Tans in York and State College, PA. I recently moved to the Pittsburgh area and visited the Shadyside location. Although the salon is very clean and nice, the staff is incredibly rude and inconsiderate. On several occasions, I found the salon doors locked before the "last tan" at 8:45. When I attempted to ask why they were closed so early, nearly 10 minutes prior to 8:45, I was ignored and dismissed. A simple apology and explanation would be sufficient, but rude service is never acceptable. On a completely different night, the same thing happened...it was roughly 8:35, the doors were locked, and nobody came to tell me the salon was closed. Instead, the young woman attending the desk was talking on her cell phone. Through the door I said it wasn't 8:45 yet, but she told me to go away.

There is one other major problem with this salon...PARKING. The lot next to the salon on Ellsworth is run/owned by the meanest and untrustworthy ever. I now learned to either park on the street or have a friend drop me off if I plan to visit the area (but not for a an...LOL). On several occasions, the same man stole money from my "stash" in the ashtray, cursed at me, and told me I wasn't allowed to park my car when I asked him if I could keep my keys rather than give him my keys. I'd rather give the City money as a result of a parking violation than park in that man's lot again.

I have had much better luck tanning at the Hollywood near Ross Park Mall. I drove by it several times before I found it, but the staff is MUCH friendlier. I think you'll have a much better experience with this salon. In all my years and travels, I never encountered a Hollywood like the one in Shadyside, and I hope you don't either.
