dont worry, they wear gloves and the food is AWESOME.
The people touching the food about to be cooked do not wear gloves because it is not required by the health department and the people who touch cold food items and food about to be served do wear gloves. people preparing plates and serving the plates do not.. (what restaurant have you been to where the servers wear gloves??) I have worked in numerous restaurants in the pittsburgh area and can tell you right now, this is one of the cleanest i have seen. You dont want to know what goes on in a restaurant where you can not see the employees handling your food. (trust me) Food is delicious and always is as tasty as i expect everytime. I trust that they are handling my food appropriately because if they were not, i am sure the health department would shut them down when they show up unannounced to inspect the place. Eat here often! nits cheap and delicious, you wont be disappointed! (unless ur hard to please)

Good Food but not the best service.
We eat out a lot, and this place makes a good sandwich... however... it is true that the employees do not wear gloves. My 11 yr old does not like to eat there anymore because 'they make you feel unwanted' (his words). You can watch them prepare the food right over the counter. If all you're looking for is tasty food, and you don't care about smiley service and whether the food preparer wears gloves, it is worth it, because the food is good. But if you're grossed out when someone puts bare hands on your food, don't bother.

Not clean..
I went there for a sandwich and a coke and got a really bad surprise. I sat at the counter while I waited for my sandwich and watched the employees prepare all of the food. The employees preparing the food NEVER washed their hands, and they did not wear any gloves. They went from handling uncooked meat to cooked meat to vegatables with out washing their hands or putting on gloves. I saw the guy who puts the sandwiches together make a Chicken Cesar Salad and then he made several sandwiches and went back and forth to a cooler, and still never washed his hands. There was a young lady refilling a case with shreadded lettuce, using her hands, wiping her hands on her shirt, walk to a cooler, fill it with several different kinds of beverages, and then start preparing serving trays, all without EVER washing her hands.
I was unable to eat the food I ordered because of what I saw. I told the young lady at the register what I had witnessed and she stated that they wash their hands "all of the time." I asked her how that was possible when their wasn't even a sink in the food prep area. At this point, I left the establishement and did not request a refund as all I wanted to do was leave.
The employees were nice enough, but they definately need A LOT of training.
