I bought a Groupon for this salon, which requires an appointment to use. The only thing is, I cannot get a hold of this salon! I cannot find hours any where. No one answers the phone. The website link connects to the Venetian Las Vegas. Can any one help me?
New Products, Great Hairstylist, Loyal Customer – I have been a customer of the Venetian for more then a year now and will continue to be loyal to them as I have had nothing but great experiences there. I have had my hair cut, colored, and have had the Keratin Treatment as well. The salon is always getting the new products and the hairstylists are well educated on them and how they will work with my hair. My stylist is always recommending different styles that work well with me as well as my lifestyle. As the previous post, I usually go to Jen for all my needs and would recommend her to anyone trying out the salon.
never had a problem – I have been going to the venetian for about a year or so now and I have never had a bad experience. The stylists are very good at working with me so I never have to wait too long to get an appointment. Most of the time I get my nails and hair done at the same time which is very nice. I have been seeing the same stylist since I started going there and get nothing but compliments on my hair (her name is Jen, I want to say she is the second chair back when you walk in) There is another stylist that is in front of her and her work looks very nice as well. When I go I usually get cut/color or cut/highlights. I'm not sure about any of the other stylists, but I know those 2 are good. As far as nails it's nothing stellar but it gets the job done and they look nice. A little over priced. I would recommend seeing Tammy, she is very nice and takes her time and does a nice job. I wasnt really impressed with any of the other techs I have seen, but I dont have a complaint either. In conclusion I would recommend giving it a try, but I would ask for Jen or Jess (for hair) and Tammy (for nails)
Blah. Way over priced. – I've had problems almost every time I go. The prices are OUTRAGEOUS. I made an appointment a month in advance for my birthday and when I got there I had to wait an hour. The manager never ever cares that things aren't going good he never tries to make it right. He has a stick in his ass for sure. There's new workers there almost every time I've been there so they prob can't stand him either. Won't be back
Not a good place - I will never go back – I bought the mani & pedi package and was very dissappointed. The manicurist was rough and cut off all of my cuticles with the little snippers. The nail area was very unclean and had broken nail chips and scrapings all over the carpeting. My nails looked okay, but my hands felt very dry.
The massage chairs in the pedicure area were only in partial working order. My friend who was next to me sat in a completely inoperable massage chair. Throughout the whole time, the staff all constantly chatted to each other and we had to interrupt to say something like "ow, you're hurting my foot". It was not crowded when I went, yet they really rushed you through everything. This was not a pampering type of expericence and definitely not what you would expect from an Aveda salon. I will never go back.
Pink / White Acrylic Nails with Tammy – With all of the bad reviews I was afraid to come here but I had to be somewhere in the waterfront at a certain time and the venetian was my only option for a pink/ white solar fill -in. I got a technician named "Tammy" she took her time and was a perfectionist. I love to shop in the waterfront and now that I have found a nail technician there that I trust, I will be back! $45 p/w fill.
DO NOT GO THEIR LADIES – i used to go to the venetian years ago and the service was great , then my stylist left and after 1 visit back , i also left and never returned . about a month ago a friend of mine told me about a new stylist that started working their and her experience was great . i met my friend and couldnt believe how great her color and cut looked . i booked with the same stylist and just loved her and my new doo . i knew i would go back . well to my surprise when i called for an appointment yesterday i was told that she no longer works their . they meaning the owner and management must be out of their minds not to seek her out and beg her to come back . i allowed them to talk me into another stylist and my head is a MESS . DO NOT go their , they do not know what they are doing , i was even told that one of the girls doing hair doesnt even have a license and most of their nail tecs dont either . how could i have been sooo dumb to let them talk me into another stylist i wouldnt go back if they paid me to . i contacted my friend and she couldnt stand to look at what this girl did to my hair . i wish i would have asked dinah for her phone number so i could have followed her to her new place of employment . my friend will never go back either . ladies you have been WARNED . DO NOT let these people near your hair or nails . if you are wondering if i complained , yes i did , the manager is an idiot and asked if id like to try another stylist , all i wanted to do was leave and never return . when speaking to the manager you could tell that she was clueless about the hair industry . this shop should not be allowed to service anyone wanting their hair done . DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE NEAR YOU , dont get me wrong ive had my share of bad cuts and color but this by far has been the WORST . i had to go to another salon and have corrective color done because of the stupidity of the stylist at the venetian .
I think it's a shame,the salon might survive with new talent – My 1st. visit to the salon was to have a manicure and a pedicure done and i can honestly say i knew half way through the service that i would never return there to have any nail services done again. My experience started off by the employee's arguing about taking customer's, they were running late for my appointment and yet i heard them still taking appointments while sitting in the waiting area where i observed a discustingly filthy fish tank. I tried to get a cup of coffee that they offered but they didn't have any made and after taking a peak at the mugs, i have to say i am glad that there wasn't any available. I listened to them talk about people (who i am assuming are customer's), I listened to the girls at the desk talk about boyfriend's, going out, talking nasty things on other employee's, disappearing acts that the owner pull's, and a bullshit meeting (and i quote) that they shouldn't have to have, they should just fire the girl already, it was also said how can she keep coming back, doesn't she get the hint, wow! she must have a lot of pride, she can't do hair to save her life, she constantly jack's people up. Then i was taken back to start my pedicure where i was left soaking for over 20 min., by the time they got to me, my feet were soggy and the water was cold. The asian woman that worked on me was very sweet but had not a clue on how to give a good pedicure, i mean i get them every two weeks religiously so i'm no rookie when it comes to getting them and how to do them right. I won't get into what she did wrong because the whole service was terrible, i could have pushed my cuticles back better myself and i had to go home and take polish of both my toes and my skin. I didn't complain because i didn't want to hurt her feelings, like i said she was very sweet and we had a nice discussion about her husband and her young son. So i paid and left. A few weeks later i found out i would be flying to San Diego in the afternoon for a very important conference meeting. In a hurry i thought i would go there to have a trim. A heavy set woman trimmed my hair and i had no complaints so i didn't think twice about going there for hair services and besides, it was closer then La Pompinee and much easier to park. I returned recently for color and a cut, different from my usual trim. I have to say i am not pleased, the color is a bit lighter then the rest of my hair but not real noticeable so i can deal with it. However the cut is a different story. In general conversation i asked the tall really thin blonde women a few questions to see if i thought i trusted her cutting my hair into a different shape. She said she had been cutting for many years and worked with different well known companies, so i gave it a go and boy... do i wish i hadn't. I should have known when she payed more attention to herself then she did me and the whole time while cutting my hair i had to listen to her past history with boyfriend's and her current life story, which i wouldn't had minded had she focused on what she was doing and a little less on again, herself. I didn't want to complain and get any one in trouble so i paid and left, thinking i will go back before my flight and get the really thin ends taken off to make it look better. It would be my luck that the woman that 1st. cut my hair wasn't working, but in fact they had no hair stylist working. I have never been to a more disfunctional salon then the venetian. I felt the need to post this so you know what to exspect. The salon is beautiful. I hope that the owner reviews these comments, and it is my advice to you, as a business woman is to get new management or get some in there if you don't have any and try to eliviate some of the problems so you can have a successful establishment because you Do Not at this time. I wish you the best of luck and like i mentioned getting qualified management would be your first step to success.
I had a wonderful experience – I have been to the Venetian a few times to have my hair cut and highlighted. I go there because it's close and my hair always turned out okay. I went again for my routine maintenance and the stylist approached me with a firm hand shake and confidence. She offered me a drink and sat down face to face with me to talk about my color. She asked me did i have any concerns that need to be addressed and i told her that i wish my highlights weren't so light and that each time i get them done there seems to be another color in there. After explaining what she could do to fix the problem she began the process, then she took me over to another chair to start my hair cut where she listened to what i wanted and asked me what i would like to achieve in six months, none of the girls have ever asked did i have any problems or what i was trying to achieve they just cut what i already had. When it was all done she turned me to the mirror and it was like a different head of hair, it was beautiful exactly what i had been looking for along time ago. She knew just by taking the time to listen to me what i wanted, and the friendliness and customer service was exactly what i had been looking for. I would recommend Deanna to any one and now that i found her she is definalely my new stylist for all my hair problems. Thank you Deanna, my highlights and hair cut look great!
Tried, really I did – I tried to love this salon, I really did. And in the beginning, it was okay. Seems like once Tony and some of the regular employees left, things changed. The last time I went in was with my 9 year old son for his haircut. Our appointment was at noon (which is when they open on Sundays, so we had the first appointment). We arrived at maybe 5 or 10 minutes til 12, and stood outside in freezing temps, waiting for someone to open the salon until about ten after. Then we waited until 12:30 for his haircut because the stylist (who was supposed to have opened the salon) had decided to come in late because of the weather. Um, I was there despite the weather. The owner sort of apologized, mostly made excuses, and never offered any kind of compensation for our time. And I'd been a regular customer. If this is how the regulars are treated, I'll be a regular elsewhere. Sorry.
