Normally Good Food, not today!

We have in the past ordered sandwiches and their delicious onion rings and we were totally satisfied!

Today I ordered the steak and potato hoagie. ($5.95) When it arrived, I said....."what did I order?" It looked so very flat and unappealing ----and I could not find French Fries that were suppose to be on it! The menu said....Under the category of "Awesome Cheesesteak"----Steak, french fries, American Cheese and BBQ Sauce on a hoagie roll. I at first did not see the french fries at all, then found 3 very small FF on the hoagie! The taste of the meat was unrecognizable to me.....not like chip steak that I expected. I am a 230 lb. 5 ft. 11 inch MAN and I thought for $5.95, the hoagie would be at least filling.....NOT, I ate most of it in minutes! My wife called to tell them about the dissapointment! The guy that answered said....well it is a Weekend Night! (Saturday) And I said if you were busy why was I told that the order would be ready in 10 minutes! And when I picked up the order there was not one car in the parking lot! So being busy is not an excuse! He just said, "I am sorry!' AMEN! So, order other things that I know are good here.....the Burgers and the Onion Rings! Dissatisfied with the Steak & Potato Hoagie!

THE BEST FOOD AROUND

The food is excellent you get your moneys worth, and the people are really nice there.I think everyone should try there food.

striking bbq gold!

If you are anything like me, you appreciate good food and good food finds. I struck gold when i came across the Brentwood Express (home of the ROWDY BBQ). It is located on 51, on the left if you are heading into Pittsburgh.

This small yet stylish building is equipped with not just one, but two custom smokers that are always smokin! The first time I visited the rowdy bbq , I decided to walk around the back have a look at these meat smoking monsters myself. The staff working the smokers were more than happy to show me the steps in the preparation of their meats (whole chickens, full st. louis style racks, pork butt, and sausage). They explained the importance of the different placement on the smoker, for each type of meat , due to the difference of heat distribution throughout the smoker. Which baffled me. When your suckin on bbq chicken leg, you don't really ponder the cooking techniques that makes that juice burst in your mouth at first bite.

They then offered me a T-shirt that says "We think of you when we pull our pork" which I found very amusing.

At this point, i had thought that all the fun was over...but I was definetely wrong. The best part of the whole "ROWDY" experience was enjoying the famous PULLED PORK SANDWICH <---- a must if you decide to stop and the mac -n-cheese, just one of their many side options.

The portions and the prices are more than generous and the selections surpass much more than just barbeque.

If you live in Pittsburgh or are just visiting and are looking for something different, BIG, and DELICOUS, you need to stop at Brentwood Express.

• Pros: summertime hot spot....sit out and enjoy the weather!!
• Cons: no indoor seating. take out only. no delivery.
