Scenester Hell.
The Happy Hour drink specials are worth the hassle of dealing with the self-absorbed posers who call this place home. No matter what day of the week it is, you can bet that these Hot Topic poster children will be sitting in their assigned seats at the bar. So, if you're dying to establish yourself as one of the chosen Punk Rock Elite, become a regular here. Don't forget to renew that White Eagle membership while you're at it.

A hockey-themed bar on the South Side that still has the remnants of previous incarnations for its rocking undergrad crowd..
The Scene
Before christening itself the Smiling Moose in 2003, this watering hole was known as Bourbon Street. Before that, the Lucky Charms. Nowadays, hockey masks, sticks, skates and Penguin banners bedeck the walls. A faux balcony--left over from Bourbon Street days--furnishes a courtyard feel, while little alcoves give sweethearts a sequestered place to smooch privately. Wherever you sit, no one will see you shed tears in your beer over a Steelers loss: The bar is that dark.
The Draw
On weekdays, the bar is occupied by a bunch of rowdy, tattooed regulars. But by Saturday night, cheap drink specials and live bands bring college kids out in droves. Defying its size limitations, the Moose manages to house myriad entertainment options: two TVs, three arcade games, a video poker machine, a jukebox (featuring everything from Top 40 to Death Metal), a pool table and a small performance space in the back.
