Stayed on the third floor in the sumptuous Empire suite. Four poster king-sized bed, large fireplace and chandelier all in the room. The art on the walls was splendid as was the beautiful Victorian furniture that adorned the room. The bathroom was as big as some hotel rooms I have stayed in. That's not all. The breakfasts were out of this world. Beautifully presented by the very friendly and professional staff in an intimate dining room. This is heaven on earth.

We stayed in one of the inn's mid-range rooms. The king size bed was very cozy and required no getting used to period as is often the case. The room had its own thermostat. Shades (the old kind, with the ring you pull down) blocked light well. And, the room was remarkably quiet, although a hot water pipe made a groaning sound when first turned on (subtract one-tenth of a point). We discovered, also, that a previous guest had absconded with the TV remote . . . and when we mentioned this at the front desk, they offered us a -new room-. I understand that the inn has an exercise room, but never bothered to see it.
