Great Night Out. The food was great and reasonable priced. The setting was fabulous. Surprisingly, one of the few place in Pittsburgh with a deck overlooking the river. And the waitstaff was great ... completely the opposite of what was described in previous reviews. Maybe they've hire new staff or trained the old, but they couldn't have been nicer. Even the busboy stopped at our table to ask if we were enjoying our evening. Overall, a SUPER night. We will definitely return and recommend to others.

Clueless !!!!. The management here does not have a clue; the employs are untrained and will treat you like crap! The food is OK but it does not make up for being ignored by your bartender or server, we went there a few times with friends and will not go back! There are other places that are happy to have our business!

This place sucks. The food was eatable but the service was some of the worst I've ever encountered. The pretentious wait staff sat around throwing stuff at each other from across the restaurant while ignoring people who needed things. I asked one of the fat waitresses if I could have more water and she said "I'm not your waitress...ask her when she comes by"- well she never did until she brought the check. It was nice putting a big fat "0" where the tip goes. I may go back there again just to stiff a few more of the waitresses

Terrible Service, Awesome Desert. The service was terrible, we went as a party of 5 on our lunch break. It took 2 hours for us to eat lunch here. I will never again eat at the restaurant unless I know I have hours to waste.

From now on, I order take out because the food was delicious! I got the banana xangos desert, and I can't get enough of it, I keep ordering it over my lunch breaks.

My advice, if you have hours of time to waste, the food is worth it, otherwise, order take out.

Terrible Service. I have never received such terrible service in all my life, the view and food were good but when you order a salad you should not have to wait a half hour for your dressing!!! Will never go there again

Acozy nest with great veiws and great food @ reasonable $$$. This is a really cool place w/ the bar over looking the Marina on the alleghany river. There are 3 large decks

and one has a pool table(ya!). the food is good home cook'n and the portions are XXL!! They have about 8 lg. TV's in the bar. There is a real old fashion table Shuffleboard and darts(FREE! steel tip) . THIS PLACE IS BOTH FUN AND SAFE TO BRING YOUR FAMILY. COME BY CAR OR LIKE MYSELF ARRIVE VIA MOTOR YACHT!! HA HA!!

One of Pittsburgh's best!!!. How do you make a bar with just above average food, and a decidedly average beer/liquor/wine selection into one of Pittsburgh's greatest places to go??? You put it right on the river bank with a big outdoor patio and amazing views!!! Realistically speaking the food at Silky's will not overly impress - it is good and well-priced but you won't walk away wondering if you could steal any recipes. The real treat here is the big patio and the great riverside views from just beside the Highland Park Bridge. Go there, get a gin and tonic and a seat outside, and relax . . . you can fit a mini-vacation into a sunny afternoon at Silky's.
