Awesome Upstairs Lounge. For my brother's 40th birthday, I was looking for a nice restaurant with appetizers and a bar to watch the Pens game! He is not a sports bar person, so finding somewhere classy proved to be a challenge. The Walnut Grill was AWESOME! The bar upstairs has 4 booths as well and is a great place for a small private party (under 50). Allen our bartender was super and Keisha our waitress was outstanding. The food we ordered was from the Shady Grill menu and it was delicious! Everyone commented on how good it was. Matt the owner stopped by to check on us and Lauren is easy to work with for booking. I am tough on restaurants and this one passes with no problem! Strongly recommend it!…
good dinner. the dinner here was very good. i ordered the special of the day the top sirloin on top of a bed of potatoes and vegetables. the meal also came with a salad. the homemade dressing are very good as well as the entre. however, the steak i think was a bit on the salty side... but def not complaining since i left with a full stomach.…
Another great lunch.
I love taking people to lunch at the Grill. The menu has something for everyone. My favs are the walnut crusted salmon or the 'add your own toppings' to the caramelized walnut salad. The staff is
friendly and attentive. You know things will be great with a committed owner group there to keep tabs on things.
Daily lunch specials make it way more affordable.…
Walnut Grill. Walnut Grill is very good. I would suggest it to anyone. The atmosphere is nice, the service is good and the food is very good as well. They have a simple but good wine list.
Average at Best. Another couple was seated before us even though we arrived first. The hostess station was shabby and dirty. Our table was missing a piece of laminate. The wall next to our table exhibited dirty splash spots (from wiping the table maybe?). I ordered a salad with chicken. Not only were there only about five small cubes of chicken, but the tomatoes were going bad. My dining companion's turkey wrap looked and tasted like it was comprised of deli turkey and Ore Ida fries. We each had a glass of water and a glass of tea. When the server removed our dishes at the end of the meal, she stacked one glass into the other. She took both of my glasses and left both of my companion's glasses. Even if I'd wanted another sip, I didn't have a chance. The staff is young and seem inexperienced.…
