A love hate relationship. I really loved plato's closest.. It was my favorite score.

The prices were reasonable, the staff was friendly, the clothing was in good condition.. however, after they moved to their new location, it seemed as the prices were no longer as reasonable as they had been. They have a lot of clothes, and you really have to search to find what you're looking for, but I still love this store, I simply just don't buy as much from it.

Not at all the place i would reccomend. This place is a mess the clothing they sell is way over priced faded, and some even have marks and stains and they try to sell the shirts for like 12 a piece when you can go to the store and buy it brand new for that price. the staff are very very rude there, and i took a huge bin in there and they broke the bin and most of the clothing were brand new with tags they tryed to buy 30 items all with tags from me for 12 dollars!! What a BIG rip off!!! this place is not worth anyones time at all and sell your clothing on craigslist you will get more than platos closet will ever offer you!!!! well hope this helped the ones who have problems with this place or the ones who are considering going there!!

This store is awesome!!!!. I've been shopping here for several months and the staff is very friendly and provide good customer service. I don't mind them being picky about what they buy because they have really nice stuff on their racks. Very nice selection and prices.

Horrible, rude, condescending staff. For the first time in my life, I had to call the corportate headquarters of a company to complain about the way I was treated by a retail staff. Now, I realize that they do not have any obligation to purchase any articles brought to them, but they took my bags, looked at about three pieces out of each bag, and then made fun of my clothing (most of which came from either Nordstrom's or Express and were nearly all very stylish and expensive pieces), said I lied about the things being new EVEN THOUGH A LOT OF THEM STILL HAD TAGS ON THEM, and was insulted and made fun of. I will never, ever step foot in that store again. Fortunately, Plato's Closets are all independently owned and operated franchises, so just because the Monroeville store is horrible, that does not mean that the other Plato's Closet staffs are as condescending and unprofessional as this store is. Oh, and by the way, they ripped huge holes in the bags I brought the clothing in, so when I took them back out to the car, they spilled all over the parking lot, because of the neglectful way they had treated my things and the packaging. If you insist on shopping there, be very wary. Plus, almost every piece of clothing that they *did* have in there was old, faded, very obviously worn, and generally looked like junk. This is maybe the worst store I have ever been to.

Editorial Review. This teen-conscious consignment shop buys and sells name brands at a discount, from Forever 21 to Skechers to Sean John to Diesel.
