Food is good. I love the food, the price is right. But the service is not so good. Takes forever to get your first drink. Seems like the girls think its more important to tell other co-workers what they did the night before than to actually do there job. But for the most part its right on walnut and they make good drinks.

overrated. The upside: Great location and good looking people

The downside: average food, cocky types

Good Place. Service was friendly, and what you could expect from a busy bar/restaurant. Food was good, inexpensive. Happy hour specials were great

Way overrated.. Overpriced food and drink. Awful servers who were probably only hired because they fit the owner's description of being 'hot', (fake tan, fake nails, fake hair, etc).

The guys who hang out here are full of themselves and ugly.

You're better off at a place like Mad Mex or Fuel and Fuddle.

Dont be a vagrant or a tool. You will probably have a good time, and meet some nice people.. In this bar you get more than you pay for. It is not inexpensive, but that filters out the riffraff. You get the best of all worlds. Most nights here is the breakdown:

40-60%

Very pretty girls- Get carded so you know they are at least 21

Very pretty girls- Still pay for some of their drinks (Quality and not cheap) so they probably have a job and a college education

40-60%

Very pretty guys- Have expendable income (This means a job and usually an education)

Very pretty guys- Have expendable funds

If you have a few bucks to spend and a positive attitude this is your bar.

Best bar ever. This was my first time going to this bar at Shady Grove. I love it there. I am so sick of going to snobby bars where everyone is with their own friends and are stuck up preps! Chicks here are so friendly at times at least when I went. I feel like I had a better chance at meeting someone here out in the open without being weird and even if I came here by myself and didnt have a friend to go with, Shady Grove doesnt seem awkward because I can always meet someone new and not be a stranger since places to sit are out in the open. THey have a bar and a upstairs to dance and a lounge. It is like the Matrix a little bit but it is more like a bar/pub to meet chicks. This would be the best place to meet chicks out in the open without being weird since it is a bar and noone really sits together with their own friends but the disadvantage is if you rather be alone with your friends and not be in a private booth with your girlfriend, I dont recommend coming here.

Not the Same. I used to live in this bar, it's usually always a good time. For shadyside, the prices aren't bad and if you tip well you will get free shots or beer which is cool. However, I miss the old cocktailers! Not the same without Melissa, Lindsay or Kat! Expect to wait if you sit at a table for your drinks now.

Editorial Review. Shadyside restaurant featuring casual dining favorites, including wood-fired pizza made with their signature hand-tossed dough.

LAME, LAME, LAME. THE PEOPLE HERE ARE SNOBBY FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON. THE FOOD IS OVERPRICED AND AVERAGE AT BEST. THIS PLACE LACKS ANY REAL CHARACTER. IF YOUR ON WALNUT STREET YOUR MUCH BETTER OFF AT CAPPY'S OR LA MARDI GRAS. THE PEOPLE THAT WORK HERE ALSO THINK THAT THEY ARE A LITTLE TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL, PARTICULARLY AT THE UPSTAIRS BAR! THEY DO HAVE SOME HOT CHICKS THERE, I WILL GIVE THEM THAT...

Nice Upscale Bar. Great Bar. A mid to late twenties scene. It can get rowdy and crowded at times but never obnoxiously so. If you go for a happy hour or early in the night, they have great food. A wide range of snacks gives you something different to try out. If you can snag a seat outside it is a great people watcher spot. Upstairs gets very hot when busy and for some reason the bar is very nice but the seating looks beat up and is uncomfortable (upstairs). This is a bar to meet people --don't go if you are looking for something to do. There are two dart boards but they haven't worked the last 3 times I have been there. The only restroom is upstairs which is annoying at times when its crowded and your downstairs. I highly recommend it for ladies as a happy hour get together.
